I took my family to Hot Topic to treat my daughter for getting an Honor award at school. She loves Hello Kitty. We were right by the register when my 2 yr old son started coughing. One of the employees, a young female, who was nearby us made a very unprofessional comment about my son. After he coughed she looked at one of the ladies at the register and said, “that’s how Covid started haha” like really??? I was livid. Why in the world would you make that comment? I made it very well known I was upset and how unprofessional that comment was because she left to the other corner of the store til we left. I sent my husband outside with my son and gave her a stern look. I checked out with the same lady she spoke to who giggled, she was kind but I know she knew I was upset. Im going to start off by saying that this store has always been one of my favorites and that their staff has always been great until today. Usually when I pay they ask me if someone helped me out today, if someone did, then I obviously respond with yes. Well today they asked me this question and I respond no. A no because no, no one helped me out. The cashier then just looks at me and asks the question again and then continues to say if no one greeted me. At the moment I just thought, I don’t want to argue with anyone over something so pointless and dumb so I respond with sure. I went to Hot Topic with my family today. My sister, mom, and I all found some things that we wanted to purchase. When we went to check out the cashier, Amanda, was incredibly rude to my sister, mom, and my boyfriend. My boyfriend who is an active duty marine marine wanted to buy my sisters and my dresses for us, my sister then handed him his card because she was holding it for him she then said she would not give him the military discount. Then she refused to let him pay and said it was not his card. This is not my first bad experience with her. She is always incredibly rude, her appearance is very frightening and her attitude is incredibly rude and very uninviting.
