Drove out here for my wife's birthday... She loves peel and eat shrimp and steamer bags. Strike one, out of peel and eat shrimp for the appetizer, no worries we'll just get calamari... What they served was breaded and fried rubber bands. It was literally snapping apart like if you were pulling a rubber band apart, and very very chewy... It was overcooked. Next up, wife orders a Shark Bite cocktail. It's pictured as a nice blue coctail with a splash of red in a glass. What showed up was a plastic solo cup and a gray murky liquid. Should of named this coctail the sharkskin or dirty mop water. The 3rd strike of this $116 experience was the Cajun steamer bag was massively over cooked. Rubbery shrimp, dry crab and the lobster claws were so over cooked they were almost inedible-- very very dry. 4th strike. I had the *new* fish and sausage poboy. Bread was crumbling in my hands so I gave up on the sandwich and ate the innards with a fork... The sausage was so dry I had to rip it with my teeth like Jerky. My jaw is literally sore after this experience. Holy TMJ. The tropical Mule was good. I will give credit there. Was a very refreshing and enjoyable cocktail and the window view of the Sac River and sunset was quite enjoyable. 5th strike was the table and chairs were pretty nasty. My wife reached under her chair to grab it while scooting forward and her hands came up sticky, unnerving when you're eating food with your hands. Over all a pretty disappointing experience that left us both a little bummed out for a special birthday trip.
