Albania's culinary scene is soaring to new heights, and tonight's food experience at Gzona Restaurant, led by Chef Bleri Dervishi, was truly exceptional. From the moment the appetizers graced our table, it was evident that we were in for an artful and delicious journey.
The pasta dishes were a delight, but the real showstoppers were the tempura-filled pumpkin flower with ricotta, grilled aubergine, rucola salad, and delectable tacos - a true celebration of flavors!
The mains took us by surprise - the veal cheek was a tender and flavorful revelation, leaving us in awe. The fillet mignon and chicken lollypops were equally outstanding, showcasing the chef's mastery in elevating Albanian dishes to a world-class fine dining experience.
Gzona Restaurant truly deserves 5 stars for its finesse, high-quality offerings, and most importantly, the amazingly delicious food that left our taste buds dancing with joy. This culinary journey has set a new standard, proving that Albania's gastronomy is beyond exceptional. A must-visit for anyone seeking an extravagant dining experience! 🍷🍴🎉

Read moreWe enjoyed our dinner here last night, the food tasted good. For starter, we had seam bream carpacio and rolled chicken with dried fruits and prunes. Both are spot on. The slow cooked beef cheek with vegetables for the main melts in your mouth. Then we ordered the pistaccio souffle for desert with strawberry sauce, amazing! The restaurant has modern and sophisticated feel with a good selection of wines.
We just wish that the staffs are more warm and welcoming, when we sat, we we're given a menu and asked to check, we asked if they have traditional food, the lady server said yes, but just check the menu and she will come back..and she didn't. So we decided to choose the food based on menu descriptions, to whoever was there that time. No one came to recommend anything or even explain anything, unless you will call their attention and ask, then you will get only the answer to your questions 😉 we just feel its a bit awkward that the staff doesn't seem like to communicate.
It's our first night in Tirana, so we're not sure if this is a typical hospitality approach. Otherwise, the food was well presented, tasted good, and priced decently. We paid 6,000 Lek for 2 starters, 1 main, 1 desert, and 2 glass...
Read moreFor me, this was one of the best experience in Tirana. And i’ll tell you why 😁 The actual owner invite us inside and although the kitchen was closing soon, the waiter really gave us some time to choose (and we did took our time 🙈) The food is very good, in appropriate portions, with very nice plating We had lemonade but a very interesting one, with lime and (I think) some basil, not to sweet, not to sour We stayed late (the restaurant was closed already for an hour or so) but nobody rushed us We paid by card, and unlike other places in city center, they were perfectly fine with that (in some places they charged us more for paying by card; other places told us that we simply cannot pay by card) The music and the overall vibe is quite elegant and relaxing DESERTS ARE AMAZING! We had que QUEMESHTOR and OLIVE/FINGER LIME and they were amazing BEST espresso I had in five days here in Tirana The owner is one amazing guy, with so much passion for his work
This is one honest review so I have to say that prices are a bit higher that other restaurants in Tirana, BUT it's totally worth it. You should pay them a visit...
