Starting with the positive impressions: the atmosphere was good, a very nice african-modern style design. But that's it unfortunately with the good. To all the foodies out there, don't get affected by the reviews here, the food is not impressive at all, and even much less for the price.
Wagyu: If you have never tried wagyu, then you dont know what to expect and might think it's good. And it is a bit, but it's the lowest quality possible of wagyu, if it even is real wagyu at all. Half our portion was just fat, and it should not happen with wagyu. The whole point is that the fat is delicately integrated into the meat making a fine marbling. This was not the case, and certainly not for the price.
Picanha: even more than half of the picanha portion was inedible fat. Not even worth saying more.
Foie Gras: looked nice, but that's it. The combination with the confit and bread were not a proper fit. The foie gras itself is no rocket science since they just buy it ready made.
Beef Tartare, Bone Marrow: there are much better alternatives to check out in Albania, like Ceni's for the tartare, or Uma in Durres for the bone marrow. Again, especially for the price, not worth it at any moment.
Beside the food though, the service is meh. The waiters are not bad, but also not what should be expected in a restaurant of this category. What makes it even worse is that they allowed smoking inside in the main hall, although they officially didn't allow it. They even have separate private rooms for people where they can smoke, but apparently that's not enough when the supposedly 'important' people come in. I enjoy cigars myself but I don't impose it on others where I shouldn't, especially when there are babies around, which was the case for us.
I even asked for the owner to come, who was around, because I actually wanted to give my feedback for the food in a constructive way, and for the smoking, but he didn't even bother. He just got the waiter to subtract our two drinks from the bill, as if I cared about saving 20 euros and that would make it better. The funny thing was he didn't even know who I was.
This was the second time he disappoints actually, the first one being in the summer counterpart they have in Drymades in the south, Moyo. A whole other story, but even more disappointing than this one.
Consistency is very important in fine dining, but when you just make the most expensive restaurant in Albania and can't back it up with good service, food quality, and consistency as mentioned, then you're just a usual show off place like...

TRIBE Urban Gastronomy in Tirana is one of the city’s standout dining experiences — especially if you’re looking for atmosphere, music, and a touch of style. Nestled on the charming street beside the castle (and possibly part of the structure itself), its location is prime and undeniably scenic.
⸻
Atmosphere:
When the weather’s warm, the rooftop dining is the move. You get a great view, a breezy vibe, and a modern yet cozy setup that makes it perfect for a date night, small group dinner, or stylish night out. They often feature live DJs or curated playlists, so expect a nice energy without it ever feeling overbearing.
⸻
Crowd & Setting:
TRIBE walks the line well — trendy without being pretentious. Locals, expats, and visitors all find their way here. It’s a “see and be seen” kind of spot, but also totally fine to just sit back with a cocktail and enjoy the music and ambiance.
⸻
Food & Pricing:
Let’s be clear: this isn’t a budget spot. You’re paying for quality, creativity, and a premium experience — and for the most part, it delivers. Just be aware of what you’re ordering.
Pro tip: Avoid the shrimp appetizer. It’s literally one shrimp. It takes forever to come out. And the price tag will have you wondering if it was flown in on a private jet. Everything else we’ve had? Worth it.
⸻
Final Take:
TRIBE is a Tirana gem when you want to elevate the night a bit. Great music, fantastic setting, and solid food — just read the menu closely and know you’re paying for the full experience. Still, highly recommended for a...
Read moreSeriously, do not listen to the hype of this place. They charge you an arm and a leg for mediocre meat. In fact, below mediocre. Waiters are extremely inattentive and would rather bunch up together in a corner talking to each other instead of servicing their customers. In fact when I was there, a waiter from another table was constantly having to drag my waiter to my table in order to get what we needed. Food is hysterically overpriced for the below sub-par performance in the kitchen and they tried to screw me over multiple times. I.E: bringing us a bottle of water we never asked for, charged us for it. Brining us bread we never asked for, charged us for us. Charging us for an order of coffee from another table. I had to sit and dispute with restaurant staff so they can get their act together and give me the correct check for the actual order me and my party made.
If you’re in Tirana, or just Albania for that matter, do not go to places like this. For the love of god eat traditional Albanian food. You’ll enjoy it a million times over for a fraction of the cost of this shady establishment that deserves to be...
