We went for the free sushi meal, which is supposed to come with complimentary harumi. You are supposed to be able to order as many sushi rounds as you like, which we thought was a good idea as the pieces are rather small. On arrival, the waiter told us they were overwhelmed at having received way too many customers because they are offering a special meal deal in June. Thus, the first round we ordered arrived at the table 40-45 minutes after we ordered, without the starters (harumi). The second round we ordered just never arrived. Many other tables were not even given the menu and so customers left after waiting for 30-60 minutes on average, with most of them openly and loudly complaining to the staff. 90 minutes had elapsed when we decided to pay for what we had eaten and drank and leave, but the restaurant pretended to charge us the free sushi rate despite their failure to provide the meal. After a heated argument, they agreed to charge us less, but demanded to be paid in cash, claiming that all customers had been informed that their postnet was not working (we of course had not been told anything). In the end, we were able to pay by bank transfer. Honestly, this was not the first time we went to Mikhuna for a meal, but it is likely it was the last time we do so. Never had we been this poorly treated at a restaurant or had such an unsatisfactory experience.

Impecable.

I very rarely rate poorly, and am not writing in frustration or anger, but rather to warn other travelers who may be expecting a traditional sushi experience. After ordering, we waited over 40 minutes for any food with only one other couple in the restaurant (I know many people exaggerate here, but this is accurate), had a hard time communicating with the server for updates, and found most of the sushi laden with more cream cheese than you would find on a proper New York bagel. If you are ordering to go or this is expected for you, maybe it's what you want - but was not...
