Finally a place that serves matcha latte, which was unsweetened and very good (Chai latte is also on the menu)! Coffee was not outstanding but good and latte art was pretty.
The highlight was definitely the vegan brownie with nuts and topped raspberry jam and dark chocolate ganache. It could have been a bit more moist and soft, but it was nonetheless very tasty and beautifully decorated with dried fruit, nuts and leaves! The portion was also big (could have easily shared with three people) and reasonably priced.
All other cakes also looked amazing and it was difficult to choose.
The interior is very tastefully decorated, including the washrooms, which were also clean. We also liked the music and Shazamed a few songs.
Staff was very friendly and explained all the different cake and pastry choices on display. Also steaks English 👍
In total we spent about 3300$; about 800$ for each drink and about 1750$ for the enormous brownie (today the blue USD rate was 1:373). Payment with credit card was accepted.

Read moreThe shop is quite cute and cozy. I ordered a latte, mate tea, a slice of cake, and a cinnamon roll.
The latte was fine — smooth and mild — while the mate tea is the instant kind. The cinnamon roll, though praised by others as soft, felt a bit dry to me. Everything was okay but nothing particularly memorable.
The cake, on the other hand, came in a very generous portion. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll probably love it, but for me it was extremely sweet — so sweet that I couldn’t finish it! It was actually the first time I couldn’t finish a whole slice of cake. I even ordered mate tea to balance out the sweetness, haha.
The staff were kind and helpful. They may not chat much, but they were friendly and provided useful information.
One small suggestion: the café should display prices for the cakes. There were many kinds available, but none had names, ingredients, or prices listed — and I didn’t want to keep bothering the staff to ask.
Oh, and a plus — the...
Read moreOMG! They nailed their classic French patisserie. Perfect palmier and croissant aux amandes, plus creative drinks such as the Dulce de Latte! Must go!
(addition) I would like to make an addition to my review that has nothing to do with the (excellent) food and beverage they serve at Ana & Juana, but with the owner's incredible act of kindness a couple weeks ago. It was Sunday (meaning this store was closed all day), 8am, and we had to catch a flight out of Ushuaia by 11am, and one of us realized he had forgotten his (only) warm coat at the cafe the day before. Our hotel (thanks to Hotel Austral, great folks as well) called their other store (which opens Sunday), and owner came all the way here just to catch the coat and hand it to us in time for us to leave for our flight. THANK YOU!!! It really fills us with hope to be in the receiving end of such a great act of...
