Smechén — Restaurant in Ushuaia

They show you a fancy box of chocolates and sell you something else. I was shown the box of artisanal chocolates from the photo on the left, and 3/6 of the boxes I bought were included these worse chocolates with the cheap bear shaped chocolates that took up two spots. They did a good job of hiding that fact and the put the fancy boxes on top, hiding the cheaper chocolates below. Had I known I was getting two different kinds of boxes, I wouldn’t have purchased 3 of the cheaper chocolate boxes. Disappointed by the lack of honesty. They also tear the inside of the box by hand to make room for the bears, making it look cheap. Pretty scammy...

We got a voucher for a free hot chocolate (submarino style where they drop chocolate into hot milk) and it was amazing. There are some free samples too that taste fantastic. This little shop is definitely worth checking out for chocolate lovers. They even had some pastries and empanadas (the ham and cheese was delicious). The prices were cheap and the place wasn’t too busy either (we were there at 2pm). It was also incredibly clean and the bar seating against the wall was comfortable and spaced out, though there’s also a bench right out front to watch the foot traffic and soak in some culture. This is a really nice place and delicious chocolate. It's a little bit pricey, but there are no cheaper places in Ushuaia. I already reviewed some places on Google Maps where to go and what is worth visiting. I like this place and great selection too.
