Restaurant is pleasant, nice atmosphere. Food is tasty, wine is fine. The only slight put off was a waiter though. He was a nice guy and all but seemed like he was too ready for extra tips if you will. But his forgetfulness was not helpful for that goal. The thing is, he was friendly and talkative, but we were in a hurry, and we told him to bring one coffee and the bill, to speed things up. He said sure, and soon brought 2 coffees and no bill. We did not want to be overly fussy and kept the extra coffee, and thought that now that his hands are free, he will bring the bill... We waited to no avail, some 5 to 10 minutes, and we did not want to run late. So I walked about the rooms looking for him. Stumbled into the kitchen, saw him sitting there checking out his mobile. Cooks asked me what I wanted, I said I looked for that tall waiter guy, they called him, he ditched his phone, saw me, and he was like, oh yea, the bill. I sat back at the table, he brought the bill, we only had big bills, hoped he'd break it. He took it, came back with change, stretched it to us, I said "Thank you" and wanted to get up to leave, but he took my "thank you" for "keep the change", pulled back his folder with change and walked away. We were bewildered, but ok, somebody has to be nice here, we thought, whatever, let God sort things out and stuff. Not very pleasant though...

I had researched a little before reaching Yerevan. And most of the websites recommended Dolmama. And it totally lived up to the expectation. I followed the map and found the place which was a little hard actually. There was a door in the middle of nowhere. But it lead to this amazing restaurant inside. They led to our seats and the service was simply impressive. From suggesting us food, since they are traditional Armenian cuisine. To gives us drinks. It was just perfect. We had the Dolmama, ofcourse! And it was brilliant. The flavour of grape leaves completed the meat so well. We ordered the Lamb Shank, it was soft and blended in the gravy so well. We also tried the chicken pie, and it was good too. For desserts the waiter suggested the Pakhlava and Fig Rolls. And it was heavenly. Must Try: Dolmama and Pakhlava

I was really Excited at first, but turns out it was a disappointment. I ordered one appetizer and one entrée. The eggplant rolls were perfect, well seasoned and the walnut sauce was amazing. The braised veal (supposedly the star) was tasteless. It was perfectly cooked and juicy but it had ZERO flavor. It was suppose to be served with Chile Cherry Sause, but that was absent. I inquired about it, I was informed that the sauce was removed from the recipe, but not the menu. I couldn't eat the dish, since everything else was bland with no flavor. It was still added to the check nonetheless.

I would definitely give 4,5 star- not possible in Google Maps. The missing half star is due to the lack of good service. Although the stuff is putting their best effort, it is not enough in a packed evening. Soo, if you are really hungry, just have a small bite before you go there, you wont collapse. Let’s talk about the food: The eggplant role and cheese manti was great as a starter. We had Dolmama as the main but I think that there are way better menu items that would worth trying.

A very special and original restaurant. The setting there is nice. On each table there is candles and a flowers basket. Their menu is very selective and their platters presentation is outstanding, great for photos. So if you are a foodie/food blogger this is a great place. You will enjoy it. We tried their pomegranate wine and it was perfect. Their walnut chicken is wow.

Certainly it doesn't worth the money you will spend there. You ask is it possible to pay visa ? Yes sure no problem, but once you finish only cash accepted. This is your problem now. You place an order for coffee? Be shure you'll never receive it. How it's possible? Why? Mistery. Not recommended. It is better to spend your time at Taverns Yerevan or Metso or any other.
