A garden cafe in the heart of the city.

Sitting inside or outside, this serene and wonderful cafe has the envy of being in the city, but with the feel of a chilled backyard garden. The wide open doors and rustic interior with homemade jars of pickles, fresh produce in wooden crates, cakes, breads and olive oil in longneck beer bottles, all help set the mood, and that mood is - relax, take a deep breath and enjoy something special. The staff here were exceptionally friendly and care about their food, which comes across in their enthusiastic approach.

I started with a Bloody Mary that was garnished with in-house, homemade pickles, fresh cracked pepper and a fresh lemon wedge, excellent! My only misdemeanour, I forgot to ask for it 'extra' spicy. A green juice for my 'partner in dine' (sorry) Both 'green and red juices'' were quality and freshly made.

We ordered the Spring Waffle and the Pickleman's Platter - with the latter being basically a deconstructed, albeit, hearty sandwich. Both plates were quickly and wholly demolished with almost no conversion between us, yes, that good. My only gripe, the whites on my poached egg, on my waffle, was a little "snotty." (undercooked) luckily I like a runny yolk, so this didn't deter me in the least, but may bother others. Weekends here can be a very busy affair, so midweek lunch is where it's at for a no fuss experience. The carrot and walnut cake is a must buy. A generous serve, sinfully moist, with crunchy walnuts and super fresh with no fridge smell/taste.

Various homemade pickles, chilli sauces, chutneys and olive oil are available to purchase, so be sure to load up, if that's your thing.

All in all, one of the best cafes in Adelaide.

Visited this cafe this morning, and enjoyed the experience. The place has a very relaxed atmosphere- it’s the sort of interior that I would love to have in my own home , very earthly and open with lots of wood . And the tableware matched the cafe - I don’t usually mention the tableware, but it was very pleasant to hold and use. We were handed cutlery before we sat down . My iced latte had a wonderful aroma - the coffee is De Groot , which is a family owned roastery in Port Elliot . I really enjoyed the brew , it was very smooth and had lovely caramel notes . If coffee is not your scene, there are also juices , iced tea ,cold brew coffee , and pale ale on tap - as well as free water on tap that you can help yourself to . My friend had an iced mocha and and apple and potato cake , with accompanying yoghurt on the side . He said the cake was nice and moist . I had the gluten free buckwheat cinnamon waffles- the toppings change seasonal and today’s offering was a cherry compote , with a chocolate sauce and what I think was a vegan cream - I just asked the staff to surprise me . It tasted very similar to a Black Forest cake - the vegan cream balanced the sweet cherry compote and the slight bitterness of the dark chocolate sauce , so it all worked well together. As we were sitting and relaxing , I could smell the aroma of bacon coming from the kitchen , so that’s probably what I’d come back for. There was a number of gluten free and vegan options, so there would be something for most...

Nestled in the heart of Adelaide, this cozy cafe is an absolute gem for any food enthusiast or coffee aficionado. As you step inside, you're embraced by warm, earthy tones and inviting natural light streaming in through the glass walls, offering a connection to the bustling street views outside.

Now, let's talk about the food - it's an absolute delight! The subtle kick of chili adds just the right amount of flavor and warmth, never overwhelming the palate. For those craving a hearty and nutritious meal, the flower power option is an excellent choice, especially for plant-based eaters. And let's not forget the vegan croissant, filled with decadent vegan cream that elevates it to the best in town.

And the coffee? Pure perfection. Considered by many as the best in Adelaide, every sip is a journey of flavor and quality. The atmosphere is simply delightful, making every visit a memorable experience. If you're not a coffee fan, fear not - there's a variety of beverages available, from fresh juices to cold brew coffee and even pale ale on tap. Plus, the attention to detail, like the thoughtfully selected tableware that enhances the overall experience, sets this cafe apart.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing brunch spot or a top-notch coffee destination, this cafe comes highly recommended. So, why wait? Treat yourself to an unforgettable culinary experience at this charming Adelaide cafe - you won't be...
