Went here for post work and pre Resonate dinner recently for the first time and I personally really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is still only doing the Tuk Tuk Feed Me menu which is great if you're new however my dining partner has been here before and was a little bit frustrated because there were items he knew he wouldn't enjoy and things he knew he wanted. We were able to make two requests but it was frustrating for my dining partner to see the table next to us get things that he had wanted to eat. While Feed Me menu's are great in concept for new diners I think Golden Boy needs to consider re-adding the a la carte dining option. The two cocktails we had were delicious and I wouldn't mind trying more another time. While everything I tried tasted good the Edamame dish was a bit of a let down as it felt like it was a bit of a waste to have that much on a large plate when it could've been served as a much smaller portion in a smaller bowl. The Kingfish sashimi was fresh and delicious. My partner felt like the pumpkin was a bit of a let down since it was quite basic. The highlight was definitely a grilled beef dish we had as well as the Massaman curry. Seating wise I was relieved that we were seated on a proper table as right across from us was a large communal table with high stools. I'm quite short so high stools is not something I particularly enjoy sitting on when I'm trying to relax and have a nice meal.

Had my 50th there last night and the food was great, service was good. However, we were a party of 16 and a small child and were told they would not do any split bills, they would not do multiple transactions and did not have a cash machine on site for ppl to get cash to sort out bills. Now I understand we all have the ability to transfer cash but not all of us are that close to have details and what a headache it was. We had ppl running to East tc to find atms and coming back trying to sort bills at two seperate tables. We had a 50th at a restaurant around the corner and they managed to be able to bill each person for each meal and every drink seperately, golden boys system is appalling. It didn't end there, upon paying a bill for $1500 I discovered they over charged our table $528, so now we had all over paid another 50 odd dollars to the unlucky person who paid the $1500 bill, and now she had to the retransfer monies back again. Not to mention the payee now has to wait x days for the refund to be returned. On top of all this we told them in advance about allergies and continued to bring foods to our table that could not be eaten by those patrons. Golden Boy have lost a few regular patrons from our party after this terrible service and we will never go there again. How hard is it to charge each person the $66 at the start and then sort out drinks as a group pull your socks up Golden Boy poor poor poor. Credit to the chef crew though as they cooked up a great dinner but were let down by the floor staff or one floor staff in charge of our table who should have thought hmmm that bill seems high in my experience I might just check it again.

I recently dined at Golden Boy, and unfortunately, my overall experience left me dissatisfied. Regardless of whether you visit on a weekday or weekend, they enforce the tuk-tuk menu, a predetermined selection of dishes chosen by the restaurant. During my dinner with a friend, we had no choice but to go with this menu, which included rice, beef, and pumpkin-based dishes from EVERYTHING ELSE part of their menu, with no option for curries. Additionally, the dessert provided was portioned for just one person, and when I inquired, they explained that the portion size depends on the number of diners, with 2 desserts for 3 people and 1 dessert for 2 people. I don’t understand this concept you pay for two people but get dishes with portions for one. The waiter, Ethan, who attended to us, seemed in a hurry and cleared our plates without asking if we were finished. After paying $69 per person for the preselected course menu, I left feeling disappointed, as I was compelled to eat something I didn't particularly enjoy. If you're considering dining here with a group of 10 friends, be cautious, as it can be quite expensive with subpar service and probably they will provide food for 5 and give some stupid explanation. Adelaide offers better Thai dining options that don't exploit their popularity to overcharge customers.

We heard good things about the place and indeed, It was very busy and crowded. There were 3 of us and we were seated to a small square table. It was not very comfy due to the space constraint but we were glad we made a booking and we didnt have to wait lonh. They took our order by memory without jotting down any note. As a result, we got an extra dish served for free when it got served to our table by error - blessing in disguise. The food was nice though the ceviche was a lil salty. They also got our rice order wrong but it was quickly rectified when we highlighted it. At the end of the night when we got our bill, there were 2 errors. Wrong type of rice billed ( they billed the cheaper jasmine rice though we ate the ginger coconut rice ) and they charged us extra for additional portion of pork belly that we never requested. We highlighted the errors. They asked us how many pieces of pork belly did we get - we said 5. They said normal portion is 4 pieces, and hence $6 was for the additional piece. We relented and just paid for the incorrect bill since we did receive an extra appetizer for free and the staff were friendly. I hope they improve on getting the orders right in future as it is not a good experience to bill customer for things they never requested for.

Amazing restaurant- absolutely love this place. We’ve been here previously and also had such an amazing experience. The Tuk-Tuk “feed me” menu is exceptional value, and the food is all superb. The atmosphere is really lively and buzzing, both inside and outside. My preference is inside, in the main/ original restaurant section. Service was charming & relaxed, and didn’t miss a beat from start to finish. Good wine list and cocktail list. With the food, the staff will work with your likes/ preferences, and happy to include any of your must-have dishes. The food just kept coming, and every single dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The standout dishes were the pork shoulder pancakes, kampot pepper fried chicken, Sichuan beef & rolled noodle. Oh and don’t miss the pork belly with apple slaw. Dessert was incredible too, both the Pandan roti and the banana fritter were sensational! The restaurant is in a great location too, surrounded by many lively bars and restaurants - it’s a great night out location. Definitely book well in advance to secure a table on a Friday/ Saturday night. Highly recommended!

If you don’t have tastebuds then you should definitely check this one out. Unfortunately, we did and had a hard time not eating our meal but swallowing it. Initially we thought, them having tuk tuk (which is another way of saying they chose our food while ripping us off at $68) would be easy cause then we get a bit of everything and hopefully everything on their menu is appetising. When the food came to us it was worthy of pictures, well presented which got my hopes high but after that it just went downhill. Some of the food items were decent like the salad wagyu beef and a few appetisers like the southern chicken wrapped in cabbage. The rest was average or below average. The place looked cool with some nice paintings and decor. Only thing I would do different is if I was to there would be to order my own dishes and hopefully that would make a difference. We ended with all three dessert options which was made good but nothing extraordinary. Roti dessert was something nice to try out so would recommend trying it. PS- our dietary preference was chicken, prawn and beef.
