To finish off an awsome day we decided to go to the schnithouse, if I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely woman with a warm smile, we had booked a reservation and got a table, however because there was an empty booth we where moved from a table to a booth. Customer service 10/10. I ordered a plate of onion rings and a Bollywood schnitzel. The onion rings came out pretty instantly, and they were amazing. The schnitzel came out 25 minutes later and to no surprise the schnitzel was perfect, just enough curry sauce, perfectly cooked schnitzel, amazing chips and delicious mint sauce. Food 10/10. The food was amazing, the food came out at an amazing rate and the customer service was incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with a good appetite, I will come here everytime I'm in adelaide.

My friends and I had been going to Schnithouse for 3 years now for their lunch special, and we even ordered a few times from their takeaway menu during the covid-19 period. The portion was huge and the lunch special price (around $12 for a meal) made it extra worth it. However, about a week ago, I made a phone call to order our usual lunch meal (1 chicken schnitzel and 2 protein penne), but when my friend and I went and collect it, the waitress told us that we should've said on the phone that we wanted the lunch time specials. She said that because the portion of the food would be larger if it wasn't the lunch specials, it would be counted as the full price. Please note that there wasn't any difference in the portion of the meal at all and that we phoned in during lunchtime. We had done this multiple times and had never encountered an experience like this.

I personally believe that it’s a crime and offensive to call this a “Gourmet Schnitzel”. I’ll be honest, I had low expectations considering it’s a chain restaurant however, still wound up disappointed despite the already low-set bar. This is called the “AB Schnitzel”, which would secretly stand for the ABomination schnitzel. I do understand that packaging takeaway orders can be difficult but I’ve seen a few takeaway schnitties in my time and they’ve all looked like a modern man’s art. In comparison to the dine-in version of this dish, what I’ve been handed is an organised mess. Giving three starts because, I won’t lie to you, I did eat the whole thing.

The Schithouse Schnithouse is at it again. Ordered the dry arse chicken schnitzel and was excited to have a boneless wing option on the menu so paid the extra $23 for wings and was served tenderloins. It all went downhill from there… not sure what I was more surprised by…. The fact that they are offloading their tenderloins with a hint of deception, or that when I told them I didn’t want Dry breast meat and this was not what I paid for, they refused the refund like their life depended on it. The manager made a scene and tried to justify passing of breast meat as chicken wings!??

Like the idea of this place. Full menu and bar. The schnitzel I had (cowboy) was a bit dry. My wife’s was cooked perfectly though. I was desperate to try the $50 challenge (giant schnitzel and litre of beer in 45 minutes). Was too full though. From the kids menu we had nuggets and fish and chips. A ‘play pack’, soft drink and ice cream come with each. Although, I had to remind them to bring this out. The service was a little off. Only one chap was outwardly pleasant and helpful. Could barely hear some others speak (they looked so miserable). Loved the litre glasses of beer!

Food was fresh and tasty, the only negative was the manager on duty was rude when we wanted a table that wasn’t near the door (i have x2 young children and it was a cold evening). This guys kept hovering around with his clip board pretending to write things down - it was very uncomfortable, it felt like you were in an exam and weren’t allowed to talk. Even my kids commented “what is that man doing?” & “why does he keep standing near people eating and watching me eat too?” creepy much 😳 Overall great food, but the manager on duty needs to learn some people skills!
