My family and I have been visiting Indian Delights ever since I came to live in the city of Adelaide and ever since discovering 'Indian Delights'! it has been a regular resterante for us for takeaway, birthday celebrations with my Dad and brothers, cousins Aunts and uncles, close friends and my partner and I come here as often as when we feel like going out for a meal. As our family consist of Shri - lankins, Dutch - Burger decents going back in our blood line, we do have Indian mixed with our family blood line, finding good rice and curry dishes and Shri lankin cuisine, ( which seems none existant in Adelaide) so Indian is the closest to our taste desires, so for us this resterante not only gives us the warm friendly atmosphere! but also good down to earth home cooking with the hosts a chefs being warm and welcoming everytime we walk through the door. Netra and Sashi and their children are like family to us, always interested in what we have been up to in our lives and are generous in their time to us. It must be about 18 or 19 years that our family has made the connection with 'Indian Delights'. Their food is second to none and the service has always been generous and friendly, always have time for us. They are always eager to serve and please their customers. As we do a lot of cooking ourselves, we use a lot of the same herbs'n' spices, and we get a lot of our ingredients from the very same spice supplier as Netra does. So when you can't get from your usual shop the desired ingredients, go to the Indian spice shop on Goodwood road at Col'light Gdns for all your needs. They are only too happy to help. I highly recommend 'Indian Delights' if you want good home cooked Indian food which is cooked with love and passion by Netra and he always will make you feel at home as if you were in his home, these folks spend all their waking hours at their resterante, it is their home away from home. Over the years I've watched their children grow from small to grown ups and from time to time you will come across them helping out in the resterante. They are a great family. Love you guys. Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at the esteemed Indian Delight restaurant, and I must express my utmost satisfaction with the experience. The culinary offerings were truly delightful, and the restaurant's willingness to accommodate my personal preferences was commendable.
One particular dish that stood out was their goat curry, prepared with remarkable precision. The succulent tenderness of the meat combined with the carefully crafted blend of spices left a lasting impression on my taste buds. The butter naans, too, were a sheer delight, perfectly baked to a golden hue, and served with a tantalizing aroma that accompanied every bite.
The menu featured other culinary gems as well, such as the paneer ajwaini and dal makhni. Both dishes were a testament to the chef's expertise, exuding a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on the palate. The food struck a perfect balance, neither excessively spicy nor bland, but rather a harmonious symphony of exquisite flavors.
One aspect that truly impressed me was the restaurant's efficiency. The turnaround time for serving the dishes was commendable, sparing diners from unnecessary waits. This attention to timely service further enhanced the overall dining experience.
Furthermore, it would be remiss of me not to mention the captivating presence of the receptionist or waitress. Her beauty was simply sensational, and her infectious smile added a touch of ethereal charm to the ambiance. I found myself enthralled, captivated by her mesmerizing beauty as I indulged in the culinary delights. Her radiant presence truly heightened the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, Indian Delight is undoubtedly a remarkable establishment, offering a gastronomic journey that is nothing short of exceptional. The delectable cuisine, attentive service, and the captivating presence of the staff all contribute to creating a memorable dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Indian Delight to anyone seeking a remarkable...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming here for over 8 years. It was her original discovery, and we even went here for our first date. The food has always been consistently excellent. For me you cannot beat their butter chicken with peas pilaf as the rice. Delicious! Always tender and lovely. My wife adores their navratan (vegetable korma). It's great to have a place that doesn't fill their vegetarian dishes with mushroom and tofu, major dislikes of hers that are almost always in every vegetarian option everywhere else. Their cheese AND garlic naans are amazing, so generous with the cheese.
We often err on the side of caution of taking our 1 year old out to eat as it can be stressful. Even when they're quiet and well behaved you often get dirty looks from other diners simply for having a child there... But not here! The lady who runs the front end is amazing and so kind to both us and our son. Always going the extra mile to keep him entertained or have a little extra to eat to try something new. She is AMAZING. I cannot fault how beautifully she treats us and him. It is wonderful to feel so welcome somewhere.
The whole family (I assume) that owns is are great and always come over to say hello and ask how everyone is. It always feels genuine and not a push for extra sales.
You cannot beat the food or the people! Try it, you won't regret it! (AND they don't cover your food in coriander!...
