Merrymaker Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Adelaide

Came for my birthday party , everything was going great until a friend tried to order food but was told he couldn't as we would have to leave in 10 minutes, when I asked why ,apparently I was told personally by tia or thia ( the person who i was asking mind you ) that she had told me half an hour before it was only a 2 hour booking "( which was a flat out lie... about her telling me ) she said i would of seen it when i booked online , to which i replied i booked over the phone , even showed her my confirmation text with no " 2 hour time limit" stated ( I planned to spend the whole night here) after going back and forth with her and her not really caring or trying to help we got no where said she would get her manager who did organise another a table, pushed in the back corner - still better than nothing and the help I had received earlier - only to then see half the space wasn't even being used by the people we got kicked off for- to only then be cut of as soon as our amazing bartender had finished for the night ( I can't remember his name but he was Indian) that we had literally just been served by to then be greeted by the same staff woman tia or thia with a smirky attitude thinking she was God peering over to our table to see our reaction to be being told, if you want to stay longer than 2 hours i do not recommend and some of the staff need to learn how to treat paying customers better , first and last time attending this place...

Had a booking for 15 for my birthday and when we showed up they told me the rooftop was closed due to the terrible weather. That was fair, but the guy insisted they had called all bookings, and I had no such call. He was really insistent that they called me, which was just bizarre! He told us to wait upstairs with no promises of a table inside, but luckily they did get us one after a wait. Then we were given a totally different menu to the rooftop, which was annoying after seeing all the grazing options that had been part of my reason for booking. The food was decent, and so were the drinks, but the service was just strange. At one point we were waiting 40 minutes for 2 cocktails and when we went to ask about it, the staff member just blamed someone else and didn’t apologize. At the end of the meal they insisted they couldn’t split the bill, when obviously they could (and eventually did, because ain’t nobody shouting 14 other people). You’d think after all the issues they would try to be more accommodating, but here we are. None of us will be back unless they sort out their staff. The decor is gorgeous, so...

We made a booking for Saturday night (20/4) for 9.30 for my partners birthday, for 12 people which was accepted online the day before. When we arrived we were told that there wasn’t any seating planned for the booking but we could either have 2 seperate booths or 2 seperate tables. The staff started to clear another area a few moments later and we asked if we could be seated there. They said sorry but no, as it was for another booking and because they were a larger group they got that spot. So our booking had to sit segregated the whole time. Fair enough if you don’t have room for two large bookings to sit, but then don’t take accept our booking - which also had a $300 cancellation/no show fee. ($25 per head). Seems a bit steep when you can’t even sit us together. We would’ve preferred to try our luck at another venue then to sit separately, but due to the cancellation fee we stayed. The bartenders also kept making the same simple mistakes on our drink orders (mixing lemonade instead of soda water) so we left after a short time. Lots of potential with the venue but a bad...
