I’ve dined here a few times and overall had a very satisfying experience. The pricing is generally between $16–18 per bowl of noodles, which is acceptable for a city restaurant, though slightly on the higher end for casual dining. That said, I do feel the portion sizes could be more generous — especially for those with a bigger appetite, one bowl might not be enough to feel full and satisfied.
The staff here are friendly, attentive, and helpful, which adds warmth and comfort to the dining experience. I particularly enjoyed the lamb noodle soup — the broth was flavorful, rich, and very comforting, and the lamb was tender and nicely cooked. The youpo (oil-splashed) noodles were also quite delicious, with just the right level of heat and aroma that brought back memories of home-style Chinese cooking.
However, I found the dumplings — both boiled and pan-fried — to be a bit overpriced compared to the noodle dishes. While they tasted good and were clearly handmade, the serving size didn’t quite justify the higher cost.
Overall, it’s a reliable and enjoyable place for tasty, authentic Chinese noodles in town. The flavors are strong, the service is excellent, and if they slightly improved the portion sizes, it would be one of my top...
Read moreI can’t recommend this place enough not only because they have nice food but also because of their extraordinary service. Both the chef and reception girl are very nice and very thoughtful. Last week, half way through eating, I bought extra food and casually mentioned I think the noodle is slightly less than last time. When I picked up my food, they gave me extra noodles. At another visit, my daughter said she doesn’t like the garlic in the noodle soup, I asked the girl whether she could use hot water to wash the noodle and maybe put some other soup and I am happy to pay extra money. I just don’t want to waste the food. What I didn’t expect is that the chef said he will make a new one for my daughter for free. He even said sorry about putting garlic. However, it is our fault that we never mentioned that we don’t want garlic. This attitude and service is not common nowadays. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I loved every single dishes I have ordered so far. Unfortunately, I didn’t take photos of the dishes most...
Read moreFor food court standards this Chinese street food restaurant really stands out in terms of the quality of food they produce and the serving sizes. We recently touched down in Adelaide and just wanted some food quickly and this one was the lucky restaurant. The chicken and shrimp wonton noodles is only $15.60 and the dan dam noodles only $15.80. Both are excellent dishes 👌. We also bought a lao tong guan pork bun as we thought it might not be enough but it turns out we couldn't finish it and took it home for later. If you're in Rundle Mall and looking for good Chinese food options, this one is your go to one for sure....
