Strikingly delicious!

I've passed this Indonesian Restaurant for quite a while until I finally decided to eat here for lunch with my wife on this Easter Sunday.

Located just a minute walk from the City South Tram Stop, it is a very nice stop to hang out and get a food.

Coming in to the restaurant, the owner already greeted us with a warm smile, which made us feel at home already, reminding us with Indonesian hospitality.

The owner then welcomed us with glasses of water and basic utensils as we took a seat. The restaurant just opened when we arrived, so we were the first customers that day. We also just learned that this restaurant was quite recently established few months back. Good to know more Indonesian restaurants are opening!

Then the owner handed us the menu. There are many food selections and the price is good in terms of its location near the city, the size, and the taste!

We ordered the same food, because we wanted BBQ pork, and assumed it is the quickest one. We were hungry. Lol.

So, we ordered BBQ Pork with rice. $19 each.

While ordering the food, some other Indonesian and other Asian customers came in. Considering it a new place, it's quite lively!

Several minutes later, the food came. Served in an elegant big black bowl, there I got my white rice, surrounded by shredded of cabbage, a cherry tomato, slices of cucumbers, then two types of pork: crispy yet thick roasted pork and a deeply marinated sweet and spicy pork (it might have a paste of lemongrass!).

Besides them, there is another bowl of a super tasty soup and a bowl of hoisin dipping sauce.

What made it even better was: a homemade sambal. Dang, that's really a winner!

*btw, the owner sell the sambal in a jar for less than $7!

So, that sambal or spicily chili paste went with the savory (sweet and spicy) one, eaten with rice. Gosh, what a nice combo! Then, took the hot soup after eating the hot sambal, it just triggered my tongue to eat more. You must know what I meant, right?!

Not just that, the hoisin sauce and the crispy roast pork also worked well inside the mouth.

On another table, I also saw other delicious menu such as a big size of noodles! Other people also ordered a sweet, cold, and fresh pink drinks. I regreted already why I didn't order it.

I saw also a coffee machine, so you can also get a cuppa café!

The other staff, the waiter also very nice and attentive.

The place is clean, comfy seats, AC inside and options to sit outside as well.

Anyway, would love to try again. Perhaps next time eating the Bakmi (noodles) or even the Ayam Penyet (chicken) with that special sambal is on my next list.

Go and try it yourself and see if I'm...

Kafe Suka-Suka on King William St, Adelaide, is a delightful haven for Indonesian cuisine enthusiasts. Our dining experience was a culinary journey through flavours, featuring the savoury delights of gado-gado, beef lumpia, and chicken and mushroom noodles, each dish surpassing expectations. The Aren Milk coffee was a refreshing highlight, especially when served with ice cubes. The restaurant's cleanliness and the staff's warm hospitality added to the overall positive atmosphere. Suka-Suka truly maximises the stars with its diverse menu, satisfying taste buds, and welcoming ambience. It is a recommended choice for those seeking an authentic Indonesian culinary adventure.

December 2024 update: It's still a great experience eating here! Nasi goreng and sop buntut are highly recommended! I went here twice within a week and always take away nasi goreng after...

I have a friend visiting from Perth. She’s spent a long time in Asia & was really hoping to have at least one authentic Indonesian meal.

I hit GOLD by choosing this restaurant, it was the BEST decision & I was successful in making it a surprise for my friend.

The food was delicious, the young lady who took care of us was a delightful young woman & the food was hot & arrived very quickly. As I was paying, the young man (the owner) genuinely asked what we’d thought of our meal. Of course, we told him that we’d enjoyed all of it. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys a fresh, delicious Indonesian meal to go there. ♥️ Terima kasih, kami sangat menyukai makanan yang Anda siapkan untuk kami dan telah menceritakannya kepada keluarga dan teman-teman.♥️ Thank you, we loved the food you prepared for us & have already told...
