I’ve been coming to Waymouth Café for 10 years, and I can honestly say the negative reviews I’ve seen recently don’t reflect the reality of this place at all. As a long-standing customer, I’ve had hundreds of coffees, countless meals, and many interactions with Derrick & Linda, and my experience has always been consistently positive. The food is freshly prepared, the coffee is well-made, and the service is genuine and friendly. That’s why it’s frustrating to see comments that paint such an inaccurate picture. As someone who has been coming here regularly for a decade, I know they both genuinely care about their customers and take pride in maintaining high standards. The idea that they would dismiss people or not value feedback just doesn’t line up with the reality so many of us regulars experience. I also want to point out that when reviews are clearly exaggerated or misleading, it’s fair for the owners to call that out. A handful of negative voices should not outweigh years of genuine, positive experiences from people who actually support and know this café well. Waymouth Café has built a loyal following for good reason. The food, the coffee, and most importantly the people behind it are what makes it special. After more than a decade as a happy customer, I can say with confidence that this is one of the most reliable and welcoming cafés in the city.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. I’ve been coming to Waymouth Cafe for over 8 years now, and Derrick and Linda have always looked after me with genuine care and kindness. The coffee is consistently great, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere is welcoming, it’s the kind of place where you feel like family. It’s disappointing to see fake reviews trying to put down such a hardworking couple. For me, this cafe has stood the test of time, and it’s been a favourite for good reason. Thank you Derrick and Linda for all the years of wonderful service. I’ll keep coming back for many more! The only Cafe worth going to on Waymouth Street! Here's go to from this morning and everytime I visit. Steak and egg wrap & a latte 👌

Been here couple of times, tried their coffee and hotdog. coffee is burnt and hot dog was not cooked well, when I raised the concern, they are not even sorry, the guy there was like if you don't like it we do a refund, and he was like if you don't know how to eat its not our fault, that's what he said. I was shocked after listening to that. hope they learn how to treat customers well. Reply to the owner's response, which was deleted: It’s concerning that the owners label negative reviews as “fake” or an attack. If that were true, there’d be many, not just a few genuine ones. I’m also attaching photos from my visit to support my experience. Dismissing feedback hurts credibility - focus on quality, consistency, and respectful service instead.

My wife and i came in for lunch. I had the derricks firedog, and my wife had the waymouth burger. It was super delicious, the flavours were spot on, the heat from the fire dog was amazing.(and i love my spicy food) My wife said her burger was the best burger she has ever had, so much flavour, not burnt, with every bite she took it was just melting in her mouth. Delicious. The service was amazing, two of the loveliest people i have ever come across. Not rude or pushy, just genuine nice people. Checked to make sure we are happy with our food/drink and if there was anything else we needed. You can tell they cook from the heart, they don't skimp out on produce. I had a Capuchino, nice and strong wholesome flavours just the way i like it, and my wife had a chai latte which too was delightful. Everything was made fresh to order and you can taste the freshness when eating. Plenty of seating space inside, they also have space outside to sit. Really clean - they have their star rating displayed.

Really enjoyed our food, we most certainly will be back - count us in as your new regulars...
