Had dinner here for Valentine's after some online hype and was a little underwhelmed. Pros: -The sashimi dishes are absolutely stunning and definitely the highlight of the night. - Reasonable price. Not cheap, not expensive. - Beautiful presentation. I was very impressed when the salmon sashimi came out. - Food comes out fast. Cons: - The hot food was meh - Wagyu is a bit tough & tempura just had a heavy oily taste. - Limited stock? We wanted a second serve of kingfish but was told its sold out. - Service is ok but I took issue with the poor effort to inform me they can't fulfill my request. I specifically asked if we can exclude or swap out the eggplant and zucchini tempura in the veggie tempura set (I can react really badly to these items or is fine, didn't wanna take the risk that night tho). The waiter said he will ask the kitchen and never got back to us. When the food arrived I played Russian roulette with the tempuras and the anxiety was just off putting. Also, we had to request to get our candle lighted twice upon arrival. Finding parking that night wasn't a problem but it wasn't easy either. Overall, I'm 50/50 about this place. I like the place, just not enough. Hope that'll change in the future since their cold entries i ordered are all hits.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hikari Teneriffe, and I have to say that it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. One of the most impressive aspects of the restaurant was how dog-friendly they were - I was able to bring my furry friend along, and the staff were more than happy to offer him a bowl of water. It was a small gesture, but it really meant a lot to me as a pet owner. The staff were incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, making sure that my dog and I were comfortable and had everything we needed. They were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable. And let's not forget about the food - it was simply outstanding. Every dish that I tried was absolutely delicious, and I would give the food quality a solid 10/10 rating. It's clear that the chefs at Hikari Teneriffe take great pride in their work, and it definitely shows in the final product. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hikari Teneriffe, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, and outstanding food. Thank you to the staff at Hikari Teneriffe for making my meal such a memorable one!

Great dining experience, food Some standouts from the night: • Miso Soup – Had a really nice hit of spice while still keeping that classic miso flavour. Loved the pieces of seaweed in it too. Honestly, the best miso I’ve had. • Kingfish – So fresh and tender with beautiful flavours. Hands down my favourite dish of the night. • Wagyu – Super tender and packed with flavour. The sauce had a great little kick of wasabi that brought it all together. • Japanese Curry – The chicken was juicy with a nice crunch, and the curry was subtle but full of all the right flavours. • Gyoza – Not my favourite. I did like the extra crunchy layer on top, but the filling didn’t have much flavour and was a bit watery. Also loved how the food was brought out, everything flowed nicely, and we weren’t overloaded with too many dishes at once. It made the whole experience feel more relaxed and enjoyable.

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Hikari's food delivery service that left me thoroughly disappointed and unwilling to return. Today, I ordered takeout from Hikari, and the entire ordeal turned out to be a complete letdown.

First and foremost, I had to wait an excruciating 40 minutes before finally receiving my order. By the time it arrived, the food was completely cold. To make matters worse, it was evident that the delivery person had forgotten to inform me about the delay and had simply left my order sitting aside, neglected, for the entire duration. It wasn't until 40 minutes had elapsed that they remembered to hand it over to me.

What aggravated the situation further was the complete lack of any apology or acknowledgment of their mistake. There was no attempt made by the staff to rectify the situation or provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience caused. Such negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction are highly disheartening and unacceptable.

As a result of this unpleasant experience, I can confidently state that I will never be patronizing Hikari again. The lack of professionalism and the sheer disappointment in their delivery service has left me with no desire to give them another chance. It is crucial for businesses to value their customers' time and strive for excellence in every aspect of their operations, especially when it comes to food service.

I sincerely hope that Hikari takes this feedback constructively and makes the necessary improvements to prevent such incidents from recurring...

My friend and I had a great lunch today Thank you to Celine and the chef to look after us we enjoyed everything … a lot ! Definitely recommend this place for any occasion ! We will definitely come back again and again !

An other experience at hikari today and left with a bittersweet feeling Whilst the food was really enjoyable ( thanks chef ! ) the floor manager definitely didn’t make us feel welcomed in many ways ! If hospitality is not something you like to do .. don’t do it ! (Mistakes can happen and I am not blaming you for the overcharged item on the bill ) You have to deal with different people , different cultures and yes I agree it can be challenging but you have to adapt !… certainly not asking for the moon but a minimum of professionalism certainly make the difference ! You as the front of house represents the business and as much as the food is good you can ruin the experience with your attitude ! I hope you shared the tip we left anyway with the not so experienced waitress ( way more lovely and who is trying her best ) One more think is don’t assume that we will share the payment and stating when you can up with a «  sorry we don’t accept split payment » before anyone asked for it ! A printed bill to be presented before you came with the payement terminal would have been nice … so we are not obviously inconveniently asking you for it ! Take it...
