My family and I dined at Bhalla's on a Monday night. It was very quiet with only one other couple while we were there and the decor is not going to win any awards for atmosphere. But that matters not, when the food was as good as we were served that evening. We had vegetarian samosa followed by butter chicken, lamb madras, beef saagwala for mains, and some naans and jasmine rice. We prefer our curries mild and everything we had was spot on with delicious flavours! The meats melted in the mouth, the rice was light and fluffy and the naans were thin and buttery. Our eldest DD has not been a fan of Indian before, but she is a convert after dining at Bhalla's. We took home small uneaten portions of the lamb and chicken. Horrible experience! Went there with family including kids. Ordered mild food, said it thrice! Although not many customers were seated, still had to wait for an hour before food came while the kids got really restless. When the food came, it was really really spicy. The waitress had her finger touching the curry while she was serving it on the table. Could not eat it. When we complained, the waitress told us casually that she had put mild on the docket but the chef must have forgotten to read it. No offer to replace it or anything.
