A great upmarket hotel in the Fortitude valley area! Great food & drinks are very reasonable! Friendly service always has been provided by the staff of the hotel! Wheelchair access to the hotel is available!Passing everyday I noticed the Jameson sign! I thought It had an i in it so I talked my boyfriend shoes surname is Jamieson to have a drink & take a photo under the sign! We tried out the Margarita beer! $8.00 A schooner & $10.00 for a pint! Excellent music & on the bar are little polaroids of customers & old copies of great rolling stone magazines all along the awesome bar! An Irish redhead barmaid was very helpful & friendly! We thanked her for the excellent experience!♥️♥️♥️🍹🍺🍻🍷🎉🎸🎼🎻🥁🎤🎙📯😊♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

You can’t go wrong at the Empire hotel! Come here during the day for lunch and a quiet drink or two or have the wildest night in your dreams with your friends! I have fond memories from back in the day when moon bar was open upstairs. It definitely is an iconic Brisbane bar in the heart of the valley. Elle will make sure you are looked after and your drink is always full and with the amazing array of beers on tap and amazing cocktail list you won’t have any trouble deciding on a drop to indulge in. Big shout out to some amazing nights at Tranny Bingo here too...this place has it all for good times with great friends.

Nice place that retains its historic charms and rustic interiors. It has a wide selection of cocktails, beers and spirits for alcohol lovers. They have an extensive list of rums as well. Food is not bad, though the juicy rotisserie chicken can be less saltier then it would great. Nice music and friendly staffs as well. As of writing, UQU members get 25% off all food items. Like any other nearby establishments in Fortitude Valley, parking can be a bit of concern, so catching public transport or a cab would be wise options.

I'm not usually one to leave reviews but felt like I should share my experience at the empire hotel. I went there for dinner the other day and experienced some of worst customer service of my life. It started off when coming in and i didn't have a phone to do my check in. That's never been a problem before, my bf will do it twice on his phone, screenshot the first confirmation and then do it a second time. The ginger bartender didn't accept the screenshot, as it could be from "weeks ago" (it's a form it doesn't cost anything and you saw us stand in one spot filling it out for the couple minutes - why would lie?) Then he proceeded to tell me off for not having a phone being really really rude about it and to the question of what I could do he just said "that's not my problem, is it?". Every other place has offered a paper sign in sheet or some solution of the sort.

Then came the steak I ordered, it was literally cold and raw in the middle (I can't even call that blue) I wish I'd taken a picture. I ordered medium rare so i took it back took the bar and showed the guy the steak... All he said to my request of a refire was 'okay", didn't say anything else and just left me standing there at the bar. After a couple minutes the female bartender (she was lovely btw) came back and told me they were "trying to get in touch with the chef" -- what?

The refire came quick but was still more blue than medium rare.

All on all, I liked the atmosphere but the food wasn't good and the service was horrendous, I rarely ever met anyone so rude...

My 3 friends and I are staying in bunk hostel. This hostel and empire hotel have an agreement that you get 25% off all bills at end of tab. We walked in and staff were extremely rude there was a man in a flower shirt who was extremely rude and aggressive when we walked in. He also seemed to be extremely more into chatting to women, rather than serving food or drinks. We ordered food off a man with a pony tail who called himself the manager who told us that he decides when the discount is in use so basically on his terms but this is not the case and if you do stay in bunk hostel do not let this man try and intimidate you and tell you otherwise. He was very rude and honestly has anger issues, ruined our night. The food was good it was simply the bar staff that were just horrible except one man with dyed highlights in his hair. When our food was ready you could literally hear the chef ringing the bell eight times before the ‘manager’ got it. While the other man in flower shirt continued to chat women up. I hope the owner of this business sees this because seeing how these two men spoke to people before and after us I would be ashamed to see how this establishment is being ‘managed’. Honestly only for the food...

My friends and I stopped in at this bar last night to enjoy a couple of drinks and the good music. My sister in law ordered a vodka sunset and a vodka pineapple. We tasted the drinks and the pineapple juice was off. We kindly went back to the bartender to let him know. He took the first drink and I watched him walk over to the pineapple juice and the look he pulled when he smelt and tasted it confirmed it was off.

Anyway, he made us a new drink and wasn’t overly keen on making the second one. Got the drink back and it had orange juice instead of pineapple 😩 and it still tasted horrendous. Instead of the bar tender just being like ‘hey guys so sorry for that one’ TWO bartenders just back tracked and were obviously embarrassed they had been serving drinks with off juice.

Our whole group ended up being kicked out by the manager for being ‘disorderly (there were plenty of disorderly people and we were not one of them 😆, swearing at the bar staff (not true) and being loud (to be fair on the venue they had great bangers and we were singing loudly so that’s justified). We had no issues at any other venue after this. Definitely won’t be returning and will never recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time and...
