Lets start with their ILLEGAL practice. They only take cards for payment , no cash, then they charge you a surcharge for using the card. Many places have been called out for this illegal money grabbing practice now also Green Beacon Brewing. I used to love green beacon brews and was looking forward to trying them again as i live in Victoria and don't see it much down here.
I couldn't wait to get to the brewery and drink them again. The recipes or ingredients have changed and the beer tasted generic and we didn't even finish our paddle because the beer was pretty awful. We begrudgingly ordered food, I didn't want to because of the surcharge practices but my partner insisted so we did. after about five mins of eating we stopped and left. The food was not value for money and not worth finishing. I suppose this is what you get with a large corporate brewer,
They have lost their way and now it is a profit driven business. Craft brew is about the ingredients , flavors and thoughts that go into making a good brew and im happy to pay a premium for that, Im not happy to pay a forced premium because there is no other way. Asahi and coke a cola should be ashamed of themselves for buying up these small brewery's, trying to make max profit and nothing else matters. Cheaper ingredients and running from a defined plan for max profit.
I went a long way to sit at your brewery and drink your beers. So, So, SO disappointed. Good bye Green Beacon, It was good...

I have been a loyal patron of Green Beacon for several years, appreciating its ambiance and offerings, especially since the inception of their kitchen. Unfortunately, my latest visit was disheartening. Upon ordering and receiving our pints, we were informed that dogs are no longer permitted due to new council regulations associated with the kitchen's operation. This abrupt change compelled us to leave our untouched pints behind, a decision that was not taken lightly. (Waste of money)
It is noteworthy that other local breweries continue to welcome dogs, which places Green Beacon at a disadvantage for pet owners. Additionally, my enthusiasm for Green Beacon has been waning. The quality of their beers has noticeably declined, and the transition from diverse food trucks to a permanent internal kitchen has not met expectations.
While Green Beacon prides itself on inclusivity, as reflected in their employees, the exclusion of dogs contradicts this ethos. Given these considerations, I find myself more inclined to support other local breweries that align more closely with my...
Read moreShould state, this is about one visit. Beers consistent. Tried the boneless wings with gochujang sauce. Came out covered in some weird white paste. Tasted like mayonaise. Took it back to the kitchen. Said what it was supposed to be and they assured me it was correct despite me putting the chicken in front of them and reiterating gochujang. Tried it again. Nope definitely at best Mayo. Started googling in case I'd somehow forgotten what gochujang is. Nope I'm right, it's a red chilli style suce. Took it back again. Assured it's correct and they just use Mayo as a binder. ...what? Blank looks. No help. Ask for whatever hot sauce they have to hopefully get through it. Given either Frank's or their buffalo. Genuinely disgusting and now feel sick. I realise I should have sent it back. All I can say is I should have, I simply don't like wasting an animal in food. Vegetables no problem to send back. I should note, nothing bad about the meat and cookedness, just covered in Mayo and complete inability of the cookstaff to look and understand...
