We went in here at around 6:25pm on Friday 1st October 2024 with our daughter and sons girlfriend. There were two staff behind the counter at the time (female and a male). We ordered our coffee and my wife, who is lovely and is loved by everyone, asked (nicely) " excuse me, where abouts is the sugar". The female staff pointed to the sugar and then we heard the female staff sniggering to the male staff, mocking my wife "where's the sugar, where's the sugar" like a couple of immature children in a playground. They continued muttering under their breath and giggling to one another while making my drink. There were only two other people in the place besides us at the time and their muttering and giggles made the atmosphere super uncomfortable. They eventually left my drink on the counter without notifying me. It wasn't for another five or so minutes that I even knew it was there. The drinks were very average. I also had a pecan tart which was stale. We will never return here. They really need to sort their staff issue out. Whoever owns this franchise is definitely not around because those staff are running their business into the ground (and getting paid to do so). 1 star from us. We would give zero if we could because we literally couldn't wait to get out of there because of the weird, awkward vibe...
Read moreAfter reading some other reviews, I'm afraid to say that the Starbucks staff need a 'customer service overhaul'.
I was lining up waiting to be served until I stopped for a brief moment to look at the cakes, etc before ordering. A rude Asian female customer who was standing behind me quickly ran in front of me (basically cutting in front of me).
I told her that I was just looking at the cakes for a brief moment so I am actually before her in the queue.
The Starbucks staff saw me telling the Asian female customer to return to her original spot (which is behind me).
What did the Starbucks staff do? They served her order before mine and made me wait longer for my order. Then they didn't say my name..just placed my order randomly on the counter and gave side eye glances to other staff (while laughing) as their passive aggressive attitude towards me.
They were super friendly and nice to the customer who pushed in front of me.
Why was I treated rudely when I was rightfully in the queue like everyone else?
I was a regular customer too but I now choose to go to other Starbucks cafés after that...
Read moreThe review is about that rude female staff who took my order. Yesterday, I went there for almond croissants but because it ran out, I ended up ordering a pain au chocolate instead. It was fine while I was ordering. It is normal at every Starbucks that the staffs will ask if you need your bread/toast to be toasted. She asked and I clearly said Yes, toasted please. I was standing there seeing her being lazy and didnât toast my bread. And then when she handed it over to me, the bread was cold. I asked her can you please toast this for me cause itâs still cold. Ofc she accepted it back for toasting but she did give me side eyes to let me know that it was irritating. Then, she handed back my toasted pain au chocolate with a very unpleasant look like she wasnât happy with her job. Please note that, it wasnât during busy hours. I was the only customer who was ordering and waiting for my order. You can do better Starbucks South Brisbane! Train your staffs well! I donât mind the unpleasant look but that rude side eye look is...
