Bar Brutus is a beautiful little nook with lovely bartenders, distinguished spirits, and prime window-seat-watching location on Fish Lane.

We came on a Thursday night with no booking, but secured a corner seat for the evening. Bar Brutus is table service, and the menu offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, with limited bar menu.

From the spuntini menu we shared the Burrata / Tomato and Olive Salsa / Focaccia, which was divine. The focaccia wasn’t toasted with herbs as I usually prefer, but it was spongy and perfect for absorbing the oil and cheese.

For drinks, I enjoyed one of spritz selections and my company enjoyed the pinot noir. Definitely recommend for an intimate night over low mood lighting - perfect for friends and...

Don’t walk up to the bar dressed in anything that doesn’t have you coming straight from a fancy show if you want good service. I am a casual dresser…. A good pair of jeans and a good fitting jumper that just happens to have a hood yet as soon as I walked up to the bar I was looked up and down and judged until my payment went through. I am a chef and come from Melbourne where the pretentiousness is high and I wouldn’t expect that from laid back Brisbane yet that’s the vibe and service I got. Never judge a book by its cover cos you never know why I was really here 😉 Maybe it’s time out...

I had an incredible experience at Bar Brutus! The wine selection was outstanding, offering a variety of delicious options. The snacks were perfectly paired, adding a delightful touch to the overall experience. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Both members of the team went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was enjoyable. Their attentiveness and friendliness truly made the evening unforgettable. I highly recommend Bar Brutus for a fantastic time filled with great wine, tasty snacks, and...

such a relaxing and vibey bar!! hidden in the corner of fish lane in south brisbane, a unique and special bar lies within a dark hidden spot~! inside the actual bar there is limited seating and is quite dark and loud, so we sat outside and it was a beautiful spot to sit and talk~ with so many ferns and trees in front of us it was like a bar in a forest minus the bugs and heat hahaha! drinks were $20+, pricey but for the atmosphere and environment? i would pay to go again every once in a while as a treat for sure!!! definitely do recommend!!!!
