We visited here for an early Christmas lunch on Saturday. Note: they are mostly open for dinners.
While the restaurant is situated below the Wellington Hotel, don't let that deter you, as this place is owned and operated independently from the hotel and a very pleasant surprise. It is fitted out in a mix of Thai colours and decor along with a retro feel, which blends into the story of Thai Boi....boy with and "i".
We had the thai spring roll with truffle mayo, which was absolutely delicious. The dim sims and crabi bite were also tasty with lovely flavours and a little spice to complete the dishes.
For main, we tried the Snapper. Amazing flavours and excellent presentation.
The Chef completes some amazing dishes and presentations on each plate. He is the brother of the Owner Joe, who created this restaurant, is very friendly and creative, and provides a lovely dining experience.
With so much creativity in every dish, I would describe him as the new and upcoming Thai version of Heston Blumenthal. If you don't believe me, wait till you try his secret and surprising Dream Island dessert and surprising cocktail balls!!!
Forget what you think you know about typical Australian Thai food restaurants. This place will change your standards of Thai restaurant experiences. It's a little...

I wasn’t even given an indication that it had begun to be cooked. Two people sitting opposite me also seem to have been missed and were beginning to question whether to stay, or go.
I made the choice to leave after an hour and head to the local pub across the road. Such a shame, as the food came with such stellar recommendations. If you decide to attend, perhaps consider how busy the evening’s service is, and taper your expectations for how quickly you...
Read moreJust across the road from us, is THAI BOI EATERY in East Brisbane . Growing up with an Indonesian mother, Asian food is my favourite, especially Thai, Phillipino, Vietnamese aswell the Indonesian cuisine. Well even if I tried, I couldn't or can't fault anything about this special little place. Don't look at the prices, because they are a little higher than some other Thai restaurants but then when you get food like this served you don't really care. The young owner operator runs a very beautiful friendly restaurant setting the best of food. We have been now about a dozen times dine in or take away and we have never been disappointed I am just waiting to win the lotto and they would be my every night restaurant.... This place should be booked out every...
