Fantastic place! Dips and bread are heavenly.... perfectly textured and balanced and oh so good. Shareplates are phenomenal but the moussaka paddle pops are close to a culinary apotheosis... the most delightful labne ever paired with the best creme roast red capsicum sauce ever coated in the most heavenly light battered crumb. I could live on this in heaven. Don't approach their cocktails with preconceptions... they take the classics and make them very much their own . And their driest white (lyrararakis plyto) is unique. So dry, yet fruity with the slightest hint of retsina. Staff are great, prices are reasonable. Don't suffer fomo- go there! And just when you thought it couldn't be better.... the cheesecake and icecream is the Platonic ideal of both cheesecake and dessert. This is what cheesecake should be... filo pastry, a light fluffy cheese mousse with perfect balance of honey, salt and citrus and paired with an ethereal pistachio ice cream made by the front of house manager.... I can't write more... time to...

I visited this restaurant on 13 September for my birthday, but sadly it turned into a very disappointing experience.

We waited over 40 minutes for our first dish while later-arriving tables were served much earlier. After finishing several dishes, one hot dish was still missing, but instead of apologizing, a waitress (Eve) responded with rude and dismissive comments such as “Do you want me to take it off the bill and get you the bill?” She even rolled her eyes, showed obvious frustration, and slammed the kitchen door. Later, she told me directly “you can go now”—which is shocking to hear as a paying guest on a special occasion.

Another waiter did try to apologize, but by then the evening was already ruined. I had chosen this place based on Redbook and Google reviews, expecting a warm, celebratory atmosphere, but unfortunately the service completely destroyed the experience.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good service or a special...

Reading the latest reviews for this place shows the Canberra bubble is alive and well. When getting Greek in Sydney the standard to expect is great taste and big portions. This truly missed the mark for both.

I had high hopes prior but price paid for what you got was terrible. Almost $40 for 5 small prawns cooked in tomato sauce - and this is before they add everyones favourite weekend & card surcharges of 11.5%. Taste of the food is best summed up as "meh" and this alongside the lack of value was consistent across all dishes tried.

Not sure whos idea the chairs were either but they would be one of the most uncomfortable chairs I've sat on in a restaurant.

Staff were nice enough.

If you are going to charge this price point you either need to deliver in portion size, quality or preferably both. This missed the mark which is a pity as it would have been nice to have a good Greek place...

Such a banging introduction to Greek cuisine! Staff were polite and attentive throughout our meal ♡ We had the Share the Love set menu which consisted of pita bread with 3 dips (shoutout to the fava dip, a favourite of the night), keftedakia (meatballs, another favourite of the night), spanakorizo arancini (10/10), santorini tomato balls, saganaki, prawn saganaki, and mixed grilled platter w/ potatoes and greek salad. Everything was delicious with complementary flavours all throughout the meal! In addition to the menu, the setting of the restaurant was 10/10! I was amazed by how the lighting was low enough to set the mood, while being bright enough to still be able to see which other restaurants lack 🤭 Despite the complimentary meal, I would highly highly recommend ♡

Never had very good Greek food so picked here. Some of them are completely different meal what I thought. Good one tastes very good but there are few Dish they were not my favorite. There was a grilled potatoes for side dish but it was too salty and could not finished them. I don’t like wasting food so it was shame. Triangle food in the picture, it was a cheese, cheese and honey combination is well known so People might like it :) Maybe because I was not so hungry so nothing made me surprised or excited about each dish, But staffs are very nice and good atmosphere so if you want to have nice dinner with your friends, it is nice to visit. Here is the alcohol place, all of those Menus are well designed with alcohol :)

And what a Greek feast it was at: 📍Kivotos wine bar, 33 Mort St, Braddon If you have not yet been, I suggest you add it to your list of places to eat. We were definitely served everything the Greek way, big, delicious and wonderful. We tried: •Prawns •Saganaki •Meatballs •Calamari and white bait •Arancini •Feta dip with their delicious pita bread •Crispy eggplant and zucchini And since no meal is complete without dessert, we had to try: •Baklawa cheesecake •Velvety chocolate mousse It would be really hard to pick a favourite or two as it all tasted so good. We were absolutely blown away by the delicious food and the warm hospitality.
