When it first opened this place was good - so good there was always 20-30 people queued up - and so fresh the rice was still warm. The rolls were a great balance of rice and fillings. They've obviously changed hands and people are going elsewhere. Today's queue was only 5 people. I ordered 2 chicken & avo rolls and got one roll and the ingredients for a second, it was so badly made it had started falling apart before I had taken the 5 steps to get out of the door. As for the contents - has the price of rice skyrocketed recently? Dried out chicken, a moderate amount of avo, but half the quantity of rice their rolls once had. The salmon and avocado sushi is so delicious, fresh, large strips of salmon with perfectly ripe avocado, a small amount of still-warm rice and not too much japanese mayo. The pickled ginger is so flavourful and fresh, you can see the actual ginger slices and it tastes incredible.
I've had my fair share of sushi throughout the years but this was truly exceptional....
