Superfine Cafe — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

Gone downhill. I got a small takeaway late this morning and I don't think I'll finish it. I don't know what beans they are using but what I'm drinking has little taste of coffee or kick. What I'm tasting is disgusting; a sweet milky taste. I didn't ask for sugar. I've found Superfine has been going downhill gradually over time. Charlotte's absence seems to be hitting them too, as she made reasonably good coffees, for a while. Well, enough. I could get up from my desk and take my coffee back to them but no, I just won't go there again. Today's coffee was disgusting. I'll go elsewhere in future. Great cafe and its run by lovely people. I have come to really enjoy this cafe, having spent a year trying out the different cafe’s in the area. I go there whenever I’m in the office.

The coffee is good and there’s a small selection of caramel slices and other cakes as well as a small drinks fridge.

The place has a bit of personality too, with custom artwork decorating it’s walls. There are tables and chairs inside and out and they are used frequently by office workers. They have a loyalty card and they supply like for like, which is important.

Superfine Cafe was a great find! It's tucked away behind another coffee shop, but unlike the other cafes in the area with a boring cookie cutter vibe, this one has some character. I had a coffee and bacon and egg roll, the staff were super friendly and had a chat like I was a regular, it's 'good different' and makes a nice change from the other coffee shops where you're a transaction and not a customer. Service was fast and atmosphere is cool, I highly recommend the bacon and egg rolls with your morning coffee and I will definitely be back to try their range of gourmet toasties!
