Amin’s Kitchen what a brilliant restaurant/cafe
Let’s start with the staff. They are absolutely amazing, very friendly but most of all very warming. They always greet you with a smile and really know their job. This is not your typical Indian restaurant. You will enjoy the comfort of the old style hospitality/family run business that takes you on a culinary journey to India with the different dishes of Indian cuisine right here on the Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise )I take my friends there all the time as I know they are going to be in for a real treat especially when it comes to the food. Amin’s Kitchen caters for all tastes weather you like your spice mild, medium or hot. There is something for all tastes. All the food is prepared and cooked on site and uses traditional methods. They also cater for vegetarian and vegan as well as they do take away etc especially on those wet days you want to be staying inside. Every bite consists of love that the family owners express when cooking for you their traditional food that’s been passed down from generations. The dishes are very simple but really packs a punch in terms of taste. My favourite is the Chicken Tandoori or the Goat Bhuna Gosh every bite melts into your tastebuds and will have you wanting more. If you’re not sure on what to order speak with any of the friendly staff and chefs I’m sure they will lead you into an amazing journey of old fashioned home cooked Indian 🇮🇳 dishes.
I highly recommend a visit especially if you’re on holidays here or end up here working away/conference. This is a place to go with family or friends if you’re looking for something different that is well priced. You will be enjoying good quality Indian cuisine as well as good conversation. Make sure you say salams and hello to the Cheff Amin and his son Omar. Tell them that Assadullah(the lion of Allah) sent you and be rest assured they will be very happy to see you. All the food is defiantly...
Read moreI recently ordered takeout from Amin's Kitchen, and unfortunately, I found the experience to be quite average overall. While I decided to try their chicken biryani and chicken tikka, neither dish left a lasting impression.
Starting with the chicken biryani, it was simply average. The flavors lacked depth, and the rice seemed slightly undercooked. While it wasn't terrible, it didn't stand out in any way. Furthermore, one disappointment was the lack of cutlery provided with the takeout order. It's always frustrating when essentials like cutlery are overlooked, as it adds inconvenience to the dining experience.
Moving on to the chicken tikka, it too failed to impress. The taste was just average, with nothing extraordinary about it. I was hoping for a burst of flavors, but unfortunately, it fell short.
On the positive side, the service was prompt, and the order was ready on time. The staff members were polite and friendly during the pickup process. However, these aspects alone are not enough to compensate for the lackluster taste...
Read moreMy family and I stopped by for a light dinner. We chose Amin's from reading the reviews as there are many other options near by. We a bit weary when we got there as it looked like it needed a makeover decor wise.
We were definitely NOT disappointed with the food as it was fresh & delicious. We ordered seekh kebab which was juicy and full of flavour, lamb chops which were succulent and melt in your mouth accompanied with garlic naan & cheese naan. The aroma wafting from the kitchen prompted us to stop by the next day for lunch where we had jeera aaloo & bhaigan burta again with garlic naan, cheese naan & mango lassi.
We noticed at both dinner and lunch that the other diners clearly also enjoyed their meals as their servings were all polished off & many take away & online delivery orders being collected .
The staff are friendly & service was good. We got to meet the owner and his family at lunch. Really lovely people.
We will definitely be stopping by again when we...
