I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Alfons a few times now, and every experience has been delightful. On my most recent visit, I decided to try their blueberry muffins, and I was not disappointed. The muffins were incredibly fresh, with a soft, fluffy texture and bursting with flavor. It was clear that they bake their goods with care, and that’s one of the things I love about this cafe. Along with the muffins, I enjoyed their signature hot chocolate and eggs Benedict, both of which are always delicious. The hot chocolate is rich and comforting, while the eggs Benedict are cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of flavors. It’s clear that Cafe Alfons takes pride in its food, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere at Cafe Alfons is always warm and inviting. The cafe is filled with friendly locals, creating a sense of community and making each visit feel like a special experience. Though the place is often packed—likely due to its popularity—it never feels too crowded or rushed. There’s always a welcoming vibe, no matter how busy it gets. Located on Chevron Island, directly across from Dicaprio Cafe, Cafe Alfons is a local gem that’s hard to miss. One of my most memorable experiences was discovering that someone had paid for my bill during one visit—a thoughtful gesture that truly made my day. Cafe Alfons has quickly become one of my favorite spots, and I always look forward to my mornings spent there. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. You won’t regret it!

We decided to visit this place based on its Google reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was quite average. The food didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the reviews. We ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our meals, which was quite frustrating. The food itself was okay, but nothing exceptional. The flavors were average, and we felt underwhelmed given the anticipation created by the positive reviews. The long wait added to our disappointment. The service was alright—neither exceptional nor poor. The staff were friendly enough, but the wait time for our food was a letdown. As for the environment, it was also average. The ambiance was okay, but nothing particularly special or memorable. Overall, our visit to this restaurant left us feeling somewhat disappointed. While the Google reviews initially piqued our interest, the reality didn't quite match up. Due to the average food quality and frustrating wait time, we're not likely to return anytime soon. If you're looking for exceptional dining experiences, you may want to explore other options in the area.

Something I can't understand is why coffees come always far earlier than the snacks. Not only in this place, but in all other ones too. This place is not an exclusion, unfortunately. I got my small oat latte with cinnamon on top and nearly finished l, drinking very slowly, when finally the banana bread arrived. Ok, I came back home that is a few steps way from the cafe hoping to enjoy now the rest of my coffee and the desired banana bread. But when I opened a paper bundle I saw this. I'm like... what IS IT??? Two triangular slices were joined together totally soaked with horrible taste butter. But when I separated them - there was a big chunk of butter between them! Was it a pig food or what...?? So, I'm like ok, I paid $11.50 for my coffee and this grub, so I should enjoy it. What I had to do was to soak up all the liquid butter from the slices so the banana bread can be eatable. Now I remember that this is the second time when I got such food...
