Shere Panjab Chevron Indian — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

My extremely fussy Italian elderly father my partner and I decided to dine at this restaurant last night ,(prior to doing my due diligence reading reviews as we all meet once a week for a family dinner and I am a fitness fanatic re my diet). We shared 2 entrees and 3 main dishes.. Samoa's were light and crispy a new dish Sunni the owner recommended Aloo Tikka Chaat was a fusion of tamarind yoghurt and finely diced potato the flavours were sublime !, Butter chicken,Chicken Saag lamb saag melted in yr mouth all so light and devoid of syrupy oil indicative of most Indian cuisine.. The fluffy coconut rice and crispy light Naan bread were a stunning addition . The fusion and balance of flavours were superlative.. Fresh clean produce at it's finest.. After 40 years of enjoying my mum’s exquisite Indian dinners, she’s no longer able to cook for us. Naturally, I’ve been on the hunt for something that could live up to the magic of her meals. Over the years, I’ve sampled countless Indian restaurants across Australia, but many have disappointed—those traffic light curries come to mind: sloppy, uninspired, and a far cry from what authentic Indian food should be.

This restaurant, however, is the one. The dishes are flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and bursting with the authenticity I’ve been yearning for. It’s not just a meal here—it’s a reminder of mum, family, and the joy of truly great food. I’m thrilled to have found this place, and I’m already looking forward to sharing this experience with friends.

we were in gold coast for 4 days and all 4 days we have eaten here and twice a day. They have quality food.. it’s light and homestyle in a soothing ambience. In these 4 days we have tried their butter naan , garlic naan, kadhai paneer, kadhai chicken , dahi puri , tiki chaat, punjabi style chicken curry, chilli chicken, fried rice , mutton curry, peas pulao and aloo kulcha. I could fault nothing.. the portion size , pricing and taste everything was spot on. In the evenings this place is really crowded and have repeat customers both of indian origin and foreigners..
