Doughnut Boss Pacific Fair — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I bought 3 of their flagship donuts and 6 of their smaller donuts and to be honest, I have been totally disappointed!

I Google searched donuts on the Gold Coast and these guys came up with 4.6 stars, so I thought it would have been a safe bet that I would enjoy them... But no!

My biggest disappointment is really the dough, it's far more like a mix between bread and eclair. It just isn't a donut! I would have preferred even Donut Kings average donuts! The next most disappointing aspect was that Mars bar and Caramilk fancy donuts, were simply basic glazed donuts with a piece of Mars or Caramilk with a small drizzle of chocolate or caramel over the donut.

The third most disappointing thing is the price... I mean REALLY! For THAT! Wow, what a joke.

So, if you feel the urge for a nice donut and it's either Donut Boss or boring old Donut King... Do yourself a favor, go Donut King or even Coles/Woolworths/Aldi! At least it will taste...

Extremely rude young blokes who were telling little kids 4 and 6 years olds who were trying to pick their flavour of ice cream. With little index fingers on glass the male staff rudely broadcasted stop touching the glass I’ve just cleaned it. I responded they are kids and the other male attendant stopped whatever he was doing and both began to unleash on why no one should touch their precious glass display. I simply responded they are kids and it’s not a big ask to come out from behind the counter and do a clean up. They’ve lost my business and with this sort of attitude good luck surviving in 2022! Absolute delicious. First time here and I’m discerning when it comes to my coffee and food. Loved this place. The owners are from Melbourne and know about coffee and food. We had the creme brûlée, Italian vanilla custard and the Ferrero Rocher donuts along with mocha coffees. Everything was just divine. Then the owners treated us to two of their freshly cooked hot off the ‘press’ cinnamon donuts which were the best.

You can’t go wrong here. When you need a break from Pac Fair and all the shopping. Get a coffee & Donut rest and reset and you...
