Rustico Cafe Pacific Fair — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I visited the cafe with a big family. They have two big signs showcasing the menu and prices. Two workers are there one guy making coffee and another girl in the back. As we were looking at the all day breakfast menu we were not even acknowledged by either of the staff members. So we went to the tables nearest to the escalotors and baskin and robins. The female staff member was just talking to another guy who by the looks of it might have been a staff member also. We realised we might have to order first as it might not be a table service cafe/restaurant.

Stood at the front counter again still not being welcomed by the staff member for another few minutes our family pointing at the menu and discussing each others orders. The male staff member finally looked at us and i asked him if i can order as he was making a coffee. He said we had to go to the other counter. I went to order there and the female worker said "The kitchen is closed"! I'm confused at this stage and told her that i was just directed here. She then rudely said only the cakes and coffee are for sale. At this point im fired up because we were around their cafe for at least 15mins without service. They had the big menu boards displayed and it was a Thursday meaning a late night and only 3pm. I point out to both of them that leaving the signs out is very misleading and doesnt help.

We ended up going to the Coffee Club in pacific fair where the service was very welcoming and greeted in less than 20 secs of arriving. A $250.90 dollars well spent.

I am not one to complain and very rarely i do however the experience today was very disappointing. I eat out with friends 2 to 3 times a week and thought it was appropriate to pass on this feedback to alert others. After waiting 40 minutes, my 3 friends meal came out all incorrect. My drink came out at room temperature luckily there was glass of ice. It was only when I asked the wait staff of our food that they had to look. It appeared our food order got misplaced as I had to repeat my order twice. My meal came out which was barely the size of any standard toasty. It was cut in very unusual way which made the smaller cut difficult to eat. The topping consisted of lettuce 'rocket', the bottom end of tomato and uncooked bacon with aloli. This left me feeling unstatified.

I then approached counter requesting the manager. The manager then advised after serving 800 plus customers today we where the first to complain and based on body language did not appreciate the feedback. I felt our feedback was not welcomed and was not seeking any form reimbursement. The manager advised she had new floor and kitchen staff which contributed to this however did offer cakes/sweet in lieu of the error which we rejected. My meal was served with Turkish bread not panni bread as advertised.

Had I been aware of the reviews for this establishment I would have avoided this at all cost. I did ask the manager for napkins however she never returned. My friends also experienced very poor service which I'm sure you will see in the...

TERRIBLE RUDE OWNER who I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting today. My experience started when I approached the counter to order some food and a coffee. After being ignored twice the girl uttered, “People line up THERE if they want something”. I moved down the counter about 1.5m where I was just was able to order - but it certainly wasn’t service with a smile. As I waited for about 20min I noticed the owner (older looking women) standing beside her staff without any acknowledgement to customers when orders were taken. What really disgusted me was the way she treated a poor Uber delivery person, who I heard twice trying to get the girls attention. The owner came over and patronized him beyond belief on how to stand and collect orders at the other end of the counter. I witnessed this additionally with another delivery person and couldn’t believe how they were treated like dirt. This women obviously has no idea how to run a business, nor treat others with respect. Seems she is only in it to take the $$. Today was the last time I ate there. Food was undercook and the coffee was bitter, but it was more their attitude towards...
