We have been to Enzos many times . It has become a family favourite. Always had great food at any of the restaurants on the Gold Coast. Been to the Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise and Labrador. Last night we decided to try the First Plate app. Arrived 10 minutes before the agreed time and were the first to be seated. It was about 10 minutes before anyone else appeared and by then we had already got our first drink. We ordered bruschetta to begin with and ordered the mains at the same time. We then ordered a second drink because the food was taking a while. It's was understandable because the restaurant was getting busy. We waited patently but noticed a number of diners had been served their mains even though they had arrived 30 minutes after us. Suddenly the waitress arrived with a complimentary plate of garlic toast. We refused because we wanted to leave space for our mains and we had bread as a starter. Finally the food arrived after an hour. The wait staff were lovely and very professional, but one of the dishes was cold in the middle. We took it back and were offered to heat it up. We were offered a replacement but by this time we were over the experience. I had started my main but decided that it would have been rude to eat in front of someone with out food and decided to leave. We went to the count to pay and were met with the manager who was abrupt to say the least. He blamed the kitchen for the mistake and said he sent the waitress over 3 times because he could see there was an issue. He is front of house and should have been over to speak to us before the attempt of toast was offered. He then said it was a mistake I apologise what more do you want me to do. By this time I was over his attitude and paid. Total was $100.15. I am trying to work out where the 50% comes in? Maybe we were charged for the toast we refused? Anyway, we will still return to Enzos but not the restaurant in Labrador. It's a real shame because it was a regular haunt for our...
Read moreI ordered a pizza and a mocktail margarita. It was great, except for the fact that my 3 other guests who I had brought to have a nice dinner for my birthday all received their dinners 1 hour late. ridiculous! that is ridiculous if you ask me. My brother ordered a pizza and lemon lime and bitters, and do you know what they gave him? they gave him a plate and told him to regurgitate his breakfast onto the plate! I've been to a lot of restaurants but I've never been to a restaurant that made you make your own dinner, and that's exactly what happened at Enzos Cucina Labrador. Not to mention, while I was off to the bathroom to wash my hands after finishing my pizza, I passed by the kitchen and saw the chef fighting the octopus my Dad's friend had ordered for dinner 30 minutes prior to that moment! talk about cheap! And finally once my guests had gotten their dinner, one of the waitresses offered to give us all complimentary desert as an apology for the long wait time for our meals, and asked us to look at the dessert menu. So, we looked at the menu with excitement knowing that we would be getting a free desert! but, 10 minutes go by, 20 minutes go by, and by god 25 minutes go by and not one of the 5 waitresses on duty came back to take our order for the complimentary dessert they offered. ridiculous! talk about cheap! If I ever see Enzo on the street, he is gonna get a stern talking to from me, i swears it on me...
Read moreWe came in for a bottomless pasta, we were shown the “menu” which was a piece of paper with hard to read pastas. We could barely remember what was on the paper because I swear he took it out and then put it back. If you’re going to have a bottomless pasta, I’d say atleast print out a menu for it or just hand write a bunch, because only the servers had a small paper which had the bottomless pasta for that week (I understand that the pasta changes every week, but it’s very inconvenient for the customer). Aswell the customer service was slow. We got our first order in pretty fast (because the restaurant was half full), but when we finished and wanted another plate, we couldn’t call over a waiter. We had gotten the attention of another waitress but she told us “that it wasn’t her section and she would go get the waiter who served us”. 10-20 mins pass and he’s still not coming so im attempting to get his attention, but he’s busy getting drinks for other tables and getting their orders. I understand it was busy but at this point we had been waiting 30mins just to order another serving and we only have a 2 hour seating time. This waiter seemed to be serving every table? Which is why I was a bit confused on the section part which the waitress told me.
Other than that, the pasta was decent. But I wouldn’t recommend going for bottomless pasta. Just my personal experience and...
