Unfortunately a disappointing end to a lovely day. I had a similar experience just days before but thought I would try this place again but found it to be just as dreadful. Appalling customer service, simply rude attitudes.. It was a quiet time of day, they were not over run with orders or customers by any means. We were not greeted when we arrived and after being quite abruptly re-directed to another counter for our order to be taken, we were in shock when the man serving didn’t even look or face us to take our order (may have been the owner but seemed to be the person in charge). Initially when approaching the counter, we stood uncomfortably, waiting to be acknowledged to ask a question while the employees continued their conversation just behind the counter. When we were ready to order, we were confronted with “what do you want” several times with his back towards us as he turned to face the register meanwhile another two young girls were also stood at the counter, talking along themselves and failing to acknowledge us. We were quickly instructed of the process for collecting our order and utensils and felt quite dismissed from the register after making payment. We were told our drinks would be brought to us and our food would buzz on the handheld buzzer. A short time later, the buzzer alarmed. It was to collect our drinks from the counter where no body acknowledged me upon collection. I asked about the food to which I was explained the buzzer would go off again for me to return to collect our food. With no exaggeration, the moment I sat, the buzzer alarmed. I sighed and got back up. I am very visibly heavily pregnant at 40 weeks and was just disappointed that considering the shop was dead quiet, that non of our order was brought to us as mentioned previously. Particularly frustrating that food and drinks were ready moments apart which meant I had to get up and walk to the counter on several occasions- returning a third time because our sauce was not provided. What upset me also was the fact that they were quiet and just talking behind the counter, it felt like no effort was made to accommodate us as customers. I understand it’s common practice for customers to collect their own orders at restaurants so even with that point aside, the lack of acknowledgment and with no friendly character from the employees, I found my experience here really disappointing.
And finally, the stools were incredibly dangerous. A photo attached of one to give an insight into the condition of the seating that was seen on all of the metal stools on the deck.
Our food and drinks were tasty, the location is superb and the areas were clean. For me, it was only a disappointing experience because of the poor service. It seems as though that some people just have absolutely no idea. We really didn’t feel...
Read moreI recently visited with high hopes for a pleasant breakfast experience, but I was sorely disappointed. From the moment we arrived, the staff, including the boss, were noticeably rude and unwelcoming. They seemed disinterested in serving us and barely acknowledged our presence. Despite our attempts to order breakfast, we were abruptly informed by the boss that breakfast service had ended, and we could only order lunch. The lack of courtesy from the majority of the staff created a very uncomfortable atmosphere. The only exception was one individual who was genuinely nice and humble, but his efforts did little to offset the overall negative experience. The poor customer service was disheartening and overshadowed any potential enjoyment of the meal. I won’t be returning or recommending this place based on...
Read moreJust read a review from another customer about the very poor attitude of the manager. I went today and there were two lovely young ladies obviously starting work. I can deal with undercooked, overpriced fish. Couldn’t care less…but what I cannot tolerate is a manager berating and belittling staff in such a manner. He was truly awful to them, bordering on bullying and I really hope someone makes him accountable for such behaviour. Those poor girls, I hope they go on to find employment with someone who respects and appreciates their efforts, whilst teaching them the ropes in a kind manner. And another tip, it’s not a good look to bag your opposition in public like that. You never know who is listening and it’s just a tacky look. If I were him, I’d be concentrating on improving my...
