Hard to stomach* Cafe.
Stopped in during school holidays, after seeing the star rating and some of the photos, with my young family out for some nice brekky. This was not to be. The place was empty, and the second warning sign was when the barista told me they only have take away cups for coffee. Hmmm. They then forgot my two kid's babycinos, odd because we were the only people in the place. When I went up to ask where the babycinos were I was told "they're coming now", but no apology, they'd obviously forgotten them. It took the kitchen 30 minutes to get three lots of scrambled eggs on toast (check out what you get for $14). Weirdly, the relish was already spread on my toast when served, rather than on the side in a small dish. The scrambled egg was lifeless and basic, cheap. Read moreThe staff are friendly and the coffee's were made well. They have a good brand soy milk as well as top quality syrup flavours if you're into sweetness like I am. My partner had the smashed avo, but said it tasted more like brushetta and the onion was cut quite big & there was way too much of it as it too over the dish. Apart from that, he said it was good, he finished all but half the onion. The seating out the front was comfy with 2 couches and some other seating overlooking the street. Comfy, cosy and fresh sea air....
Read moreWas told there was a 20 minute wait for food. We waited 50 minutes. Was told that they didn’t have any bacon or ice so had to wait longer for someone to go buy it and run back to the store. A worker quit and made a scene in the middle of the cafe. Food was average, poached eggs were cooked all the way through. They didn’t apologise or anything for how long the wait was.
