I guess you can't visit Australia without trying Hungry Jack, just once. Just once being the operative phrase. So why wouldn't I go there again? Firstly the ambiance; the 'restaurant' is in the forecourt of a petrol station, not a good location. Secondly there is insufficient seating inside; there was also a driver inside from DHL when I arrived - he was waiting for a delivery barcode who stuck his dirty great box on one of the few available table - hardly hygienic! Next gripe, the service, the single male staff who served me seemed to have a wee bit of trouble focusing; he pretty much messed up my entire order - I wanted grilled chicken, I got fried, I wanted a coffee, I got a cola, and I never did get the receipt I asked for. There were also a number of other customers there with issues too; one having waited 7 minutes for an order they made. As for the food? the actual food was far less quality than the advertising alludes to and far lower than either MacDo or BK and this for a small set which cost A$11.
In such a competitive market I am curious to understand why anyone would venture to such a place more than once. Had I know it was going to be as it was, I wouldn't have ventured at all, and would have eaten locally. My advice, don't bother to go here, not unless you want poor service, overpriced food that you have to wait an inordinate amount...
Read moreGreat food. Happy smiles. Forget it after 9pm. Too many weirdos in surprisingly expensive vehicles are driving endlessly around the adjacent blocks, trying to intimidate the homeless and play-act the malevolent archetype. But why - I've asked myself? There's no arrests so it can't be coppers. Neighbourhood watch could never hope to be as organised as these new ones appear to be. And all the crabby persecution stories are nothing but crabby people's way of avoiding responsibility For themselves. Then , looming over us all - it occurred to me.
REAL ESTATE $$$_$
Mark my words HJ lovers. The lowest tiers ($) will go first to places further out. Beenleigh perhaps. The most vulnerable and chronically under - cared for people. The mentally ill, those battling alcohol and/or drug addiction, escaped victims of violence, chronic pain Victims, the elderly and infirm, and of course teenagers to name but a scant few.
But there is a Silver lining to this cloud. At least the multi-billionaire who owns that monstrosity will see his property prices rise.
That's the only source with enough funding to finance the seemingly Cohesive efforts most notable nights especially the weekend. That's nothing compared to the couple of extra billion you'll get - Whoops - Hell h I hope Social Media...
Read moreThis place is a complete embarrassment to the brand. We ordered a double wopper with cheese with extra cheese and extra pickles. Confirmed this order with them. Got the receipt and it said double cheese and nothing of double pickles. We queried this and they said definitely would be right. Surprised when we got home and there was no extra pickle and only one cheese. Also patties were so dry they when inedible no idea how long they had been on the shelf for. We called to complain and talked to a Leisha? And she said they could tell who made the meal from the order number. She then recanted and said she wouldnt tell us. The only remedy they offered was for us to come back to get any refund or replacement burger. So we were repeatedly lied to as well as have our order messed up. Steer clear from this place they dont care about doing a good job and they are not trustworthy. Worst experience at a hungry jacks ever. Disgusting food and somehow even worse service. 0...
