I discovered this place in the past month and I eaten here 3 times already with my friends we spend atleast $100 everytime. I absolutely loved it... until the other night! The other night I ordered the curry ( thought i would try it) and had it stated it was mild now I even asked the waitress if the curry was spicy and she and 2 others told me that it was not and look I even said of course I don’t mind a little spice who doesn’t it’s a curry, When I got the food I had one bite and had to grab my drink and down it. I also asked 4 other people at the table if the curry was spicy and all had agreed. I called one of those staff over and said that it was spicy then they got the manger and she came over NEVER have I meet a ruder manger in my entire life. Exact words “ sorry but you can’t get a refund and you will still have to pay for that sooo can I get you anything else” “ we’ll you know next time you shouldn’t order a curry you know curry does tend to have spices in it” I have ordered a mild curry from many places and got what the menu and staff have said. Basically other stuff was said but it was to the point where myself and the whole table planned for half an hour how we were going to get up and leave without paying, but I know it’s a business and they need to make there money so I sucked it up and paid it but I will never and neither will the people at the table be dining here again. The manger needs to brush up on her customer service and not belittle the customer I work in hospitality as well and don’t believe “the customer is always right” but do believe you should be treated fairly and then was no sign of rudeness on my part to set her off. WONT BE COMING BACK!!!
Ps- I’m actually embarrassed to do this for the fact I have never had to post a review or have posted one ever and I eat out atleast 3-4 times a week so that’s...
Read moreFour of us had dinner there yesterday evening. We have been to this establishment a number of times over the last few years. We all agreed that last night's effort by the establishment was their absolute worst effort ever.
The service was intermittent. The staff were friendly, but not attentive. Our bottle of wine did not arrive until AFTER we had finished the main course - despite a reminder. Neither this bottle nor a pre-dinner drinks were particularly cold.
The table next to us arrived before us, but we were served our food before them. When they did receive their food one of the dishes was sent back. They left before us and left a considerable portion of their meals on their plates.
Given that the total bill for the evening was about $150 the mains at around $25.00 per main were not up to standard. My wife had coconut prawns which were overcooked and dried out. Our friend's wife had the seafood basket which was overcooked and greasy; we would not dignify the accompanying bugs bunny food as a salad. I had the garlic prawns. The prawns were tasteless and the sauce strait out of a bottle with very little garlic. There was some "green stuff' thrown over the dish and two piles of rice accompanying it. The rice was luke warm and sticky, but I would have gone hungry if I had not eaten it. My friend had the rissoles which seemed to be about the best dish of the four.
Needless to say we did not stay for desert. We were not asked by the staff if we enjoyed our meal. They probably did not want to know the answer to that question.
It is a shame that this "restaurant" has deteriorated to this extent when it previously served good quality food with good service. As locals, it is now off our list of places to eat and I expect the people at the adjoining g table have...
Read moreEntirely disappointing and Poor service. 🤮🤢
I visited this restaurant on Wednesday night to celebrate a loved one's birthday. As locals living in Labrador, we were excited to try this place. We ordered a three-course meal, including grilled barramundi, salmon with rice, and garlic prawns. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The person who took our order was unprofessional and unsure about a simple request we made to swap the salmon for barramundi. After checking, she informed us that it would cost an additional $3, which we accepted, despite knowing that salmon is typically more expensive than barramundi. The most disappointing and upsetting part of the night was when I discovered bacon in my grilled prawns dish. The menu made no mention of bacon being included. It wasn't just a garnish—it was hidden at the bottom of the plate. I have never eaten bacon in my entire life because I dislike it. When I asked the supervisor about this, she claimed it was due to the fried rice I had ordered instead of jasmine rice. This explanation felt like a cover-up, and I found it dishonest. I was so distressed that I had to leave the table and run to the restroom, where I became physically ill. Despite the poor service, I tried to remain calm out of respect for the other customers. I’m sharing this experience to warn others that this restaurant is extremely disappointing, with unprofessional staff and poorly qualified chefs. It seems like their priority is taking your money rather than providing a quality dining experience. If it were possible, I would give this place a negative star rating. I strongly recommend avoiding this poorly...
