I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Mr Yiros Gold Coast was disappointing enough that I feel it’s worth sharing.
Firstly, the quality of the meat used in their yiros and kebabs was far below what I’d expect. The meat tasted cheap, overly processed, and lacked freshness. Instead of tender, well-seasoned cuts, it came across as dry, stringy, and greasy — the kind of texture that makes you question how long it has been sitting there before being served.
The kebabs themselves were also of low quality. The bread was stale and chewy, and the fillings felt thrown together without any care. For a place that markets itself around yiros and kebabs, I expected authentic, flavorful food, but instead, everything tasted bland and mass-produced.
Overall, the lack of quality and effort in their ingredients really shows. With so many great food options on the Gold Coast, I would not recommend Mr Yiros to anyone looking for a satisfying meal. It was overpriced for what was served, and unfortunately, I left feeling more...
Read moreI strongly suggest U introduce charcoal grill/spit if U want to increase your quality & turnover. For example: There is a thriving greek take away restaurant in Niddrie Victoria that is struggling to meet orders. They have 3 spits going at one time: lamb, chicken & pork. You can smell the barbecue 3 blocks away & people follow their noses. The flavours of original spit roast is unmatched. I could always buy 1/2 kilo lamb from spit charged by weight. If U saw the que lined up outside this restaurant, it's...
Read moreThe size of this Yiros is the same as tacos being sold elsewhere. If you’re from SA or VIC don’t expect what you’re used to. The Yiros is small and uses less than half the bag it comes in. It had good flavours but that’s all. Nothing substantial. After spending $50 on two meals here we went straight to hungry jacks to fill up on a whopper there. Also beware of 5 star reviews here, the owners have a sign out offering a free drink or small chips if they can see you’ve left a 5...
