OMG! What a horrible experience! We walked into a dead fish smelling front door to start with. They have “live fish”, Lobster & Crab tanks at the front door. The fish tanks were half filled with dead or dying fish. The Lobster & Crab tank was so over crowded they could not move at all. The tables were not cleaned from the previous sitting 🫣. We ordered a couple of soft drinks with the Banquet 1. The drinks were wheeled into the restaurant on a load of crates and were served warm.
Entrees were overcooked in very old oil, you couldn’t even tell that you had wontons. They served the entrees with tomato sauce of all things!!!!
Main meals: The chicken dish had no flavour whatsoever ever, the msg must of run out the door in horror. The prawn dish, well the prawns were cooked properly, but the broccoli was waterlogged and cold. The beef dish, what can I say other than that it was deep fried sweet soy crispy to the point of there wasn’t any point to it anymore. The pork dish, what a horrible mess. This was supposed to be sweet & sour pork. The sauce was a mix of tomato sauce, Chinese spices and something else! The meat, well they used spare ribs and didn’t remove the bones - big or little and left the meat in big whole pieces, not cut up into strips that you could pick up with your chopsticks! The fried rice, at least they didn’t stuff that up! Dessert, we didn’t want to stick around for it after what we endured. Thankfully neither of us ended up with food poisoning, but we’re never going back there again!
Whoever gave that 5 star, you should be ashamed...
Read moreWent there at 6pm on Tue. When we stepped inside, the restaurant was hot with and felt like no air conditioning on(summer time in GC). Thought it was because we just walked there Anyway we sat down and ordered Sweet and Sour Fish, Stir fry Squid with Ginger and Shallot , King prawn fried rice, steam dim sum at 6:15pm. The restaurant was half full at that time. We waited, waited and waited. Called the waiter at 6:45pm to check why it took so much. He literally said we went in at a wrong time because they have 2 big tour tables to serve, that's why it is delayed. So we waited for a bit longer because my 2 and 4 years old were starving. Checked with them again at 7pm, he said good will be here soon.. Told them they should have let us know it has some delay of serving food when we first walked in. Food finally arrived at 7:15pm. The fried rice and sweet and sour fish were very tasty, however the squids was very tasteless. When we finished our dinner and paid the bill, told them the squids was very tasteless, he said he will let the chef know. Hopefully he did.
Overall experience is not satisfactory. Will I consider going there again?...
Read moreHad read reviews prior to booking so we were really looking forward to the meal & the whole authentic chinese restaurant experience ..wow were we disappointed ...😔..the meal was delicious ..the service on the other hand was very ordinary ..had to chase down someone to actually seat us when we first arrived ..our dishes didn't arrive at the same time ...again had to wave down someone for service as guy in charge seemed too busy drinking at a table with another man ...then when we went to pay & leave again we were left waiting for someone to notice us ..then luckily i checked the bill cos they'd overcharged us ..tried to charge for two desserts when we'd only ordered one to share between the two of us ...we're not " bougie " in any way but honestly did expect a little more " service " as it was a treat for us on our last night before heading home ....its not like they were busy ..only three / four other tables were occupied ..would we recommend this restaurant ..no sorry we...
