The Queen's Arms Hotel Southport — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I have been a regular customer at this pub because the food is truly spectacular – some of the best you can find in Southport. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was ruined by the very poor customer service of a staff member named Lucky (or something similar).

From the moment I approached him to order, he was unfriendly and rude. He didn’t greet me, was dismissive, and didn’t even ask if I was a member – which I am. Later, when I asked him to check the system, he bluntly told me I wasn’t there and, in a very rude manner, said the only option was to “join the membership again.” His tone and attitude were extremely unpleasant.

I want to make it very clear that I am not writing this review just because of one bad day. When I returned to my table and told my friends, one of them immediately asked, “Was it that guy in the blue shirt?” and said, “He is always rude. I’ve been here several times and that’s just the way he speaks to people.” That confirmed for me that this is not a one-off situation – it’s simply his lack of customer service skills.

As a paying customer and a loyal visitor, I felt unwelcome and disrespected. Someone with such poor manners should not be working in customer service, especially in a place with such great food...

I really like this place but for mothers day I was a bit upset and decussed. There was a family with two dogs at the table eating off the plates .When I said to one of the head concierge he said well we can move you to another table as we are a friendly dog taven .Wow who pays the bill .Sorry but it made me sick.I was not the only one there not liking what they were seeing .Southport is turning into dog town . I will not be back because I don't want to eat off plates dogs have been licking. ITS so discussing food and animals together OH&S . I am going to start making a stand its going too far .And look those who want to eat after your dog great but not while I pay to eat in a clean environment.

Been going to this pub for three weeks since it opened, had a great experience until tonight, went to the tab area to put a bet on, Maria was fixing the broken tab machine so decided to put a paper bet on, instead of apologising for the inconvenience of the machine being broken I was aggressively accosted by a security guard and told to get out out of the area, when then asking to speak to the manager to complain I was then racially abused, will never step foot in the place ever again, instead of apologising she decided to tell me his actions were acceptable in case I was a thief and intended to steal from the broken tab machine, do not go there plenty of other pubs where clients are appreciated and not treated in such an...
