The menu on the wall promised so much. It was so enticing. The pictures paint an idea of a nice Asian meal. Pictures say a lot, but if you can't deliver, the promises are empty. We had dinner here. Quite disappointing really. Let's go through the dishes. Soy chicken rice dish. Chicken was overcooked and dry, the rice was stale and unappealing. Choy was passable. Choice of soy flavours wasn't as expected. Not a great effort. Hainan chicken rice. Again, the rice was stale, there was NO chicken flavouring in the rice. I got some lame cucumber. The chicken was pretty plain and not flavoursome. The ginger sauce was weird. Definitely not Hainan chicken rice as you would expect. Maybe it was leftovers from a few days earlier. The stir fried beef flat rice noodles dish was odd too. Celery but no onions. No bbq pork for added flavour. Just plain odd. Sure, these guys can speak Cantonese, but to me it seemed they couldn't cook it. At the end of the meal it was a big disappointment that they couldn't get some basic dishes together. I wouldn't want to come back. There must be better Asian...

I recently had dinner at Sakura Sushi and Noodles in Hobart and wanted to leave a rave review. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices are great for an aussie's pocket!

However, the real star of our meal was our server, a boy Mr. Little Wang. As a new employee, his customer service and attention to detail was very impressive. He was enthusiastic about the menu and gave spot-on recommendations. Mr. Wang who works there part-time made sure our orders came out quickly, checked on us frequently, and was really good with cleaning the tables and maintaining the hygiene.

With excellent food and warm, welcoming service like this, Sakura has earned itself two...

This is a plain kafé style sushi place, your average Asian food place. But the sushi is way above average. Nice variety, well made, presentation is good, service is great - and it sure is value for money. Actually, I'd call it cheap. If good food is more important than interior, this is a place for you. The fish was fresh, and the place is nice and clean. It lacks the finesse of a really great sushi place, but thats not what this place is about. You won't take someone to a romantic dinner here, but you will stop by any day for lunch or dinner - eat in or take away. I'd definitely eat here again, and again, and...

You will get what you pay for, which means you wouldn't regret in terms of the amount of money you pay as it's reasonable price. However, it wouldn't be impressive or fantastic. It is nice quick-easy-low price meal, no more than that. You can imagine taste perhaps, as it's just like the one you could possibly get it from the food court.

This is my adult child's favourite place to get laksa in Hobart, so I had to try when I came to visit them. The chicken laksa isn't as great as my usual place but it was very nice and I enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and happy to package up my leftovers to take with me. The prices were great too!
