I’ve had really good experiences with Banjos interstate, unfortunately I can't justify the price for mediocre baked goods at this store in Hobart city. Frozen Vegemite scrolls are more fluffy and fresh than what I got. It was dense as if the dough hadn't raised, texture was firm, dry and stale, not to mention burnt as well. Coffee was decently frothed and the place was overall clean. However I would recommend places like Baker's Delight over this particular Banjos store.

Had the Traditional Sausages Roll. While smaller than a traditional Sausages roll the price was comparable to its size at $3.50. The pastry was buttery, flaky and crispy. The filling was moist and tasty, full of meat and it wasn't packed with fillers, like carrots and breadcrumbs as many bakeries will do. The sauces are complimentary but are not needed with the sausage roll. If a sausage roll is edible with sauce it's a damn good sausage roll.

Whoever wrote the negative reviews are crazy. This is a great Banjos! Compared to some interstate Banjos, we enjoyed the fluffy crispy pastry and insides of the mini sausage roll and the party pie. Also had a fresh chicken mustard sandwich here. Lots of options to pick from such as savoury, to freshly made sandwiches and bakery sweets. Service was great too.

There's absolutely no point in having an ordering app to "skip the queue" if you have to line up and tell the staff your order again before they even start it. We were informed after waiting for our order that we should come to the counter if we order online or the staff won't know we're here. The app just says to wait for the order, if this is a necessity it should be integrated into the app or at least telegraphed in some way. After that our drinks were made, but the staff didn't even know what food we had ordered. We ended up waiting longer than if we had just lined up. The coffee is under extracted, very sour. The meat pie ($6.90) was a big ball of greasy gravy that was a chore to eat and had hardly any meat in it. The donuts we had were nice. I can only recommend the sweet pastries at Banjo's, but your money is better spent...

Great choice today came in after distressing news and was served by a young man named Ryan wow he was so lovely and kind and made my day. What a professional young man who clearly loves his job. I watched him while we were there because I was just so distressed by my situation that had happened to me prior to arriving. The whole time we were there he was so so busy and he was the same with everyone. Even wished me well, when we left the store. I have not seen that kind of dedication and kindness in a long time. I would reckon customers would come back just to see him because he was so pleasant. I know I will when I get better. Thankyou Ryan for being so kind to me today you made an old lady very happy...

Great variety of food, not sure I can say how friendly the staff are, I went at 1pm on a weekday, it was probably the busy hour, but I would expect more friendly and respectful customer service. The lady at the counter did not greet and serve in the most polite manner. Cleaning is also not the best, large size coffee lids ran out at the counter, and the one left had coffee spilled on it, it was disgusting, image picking up a lid and have your hands covered with someone else's coffee. Connecting to the Cafe's WIFI was also a bewildering and very complicated process, you have to download a software to your laptop which didn't end up opening :( I was hoping to do some exam...
