Excellent food and service. Located in the heart of the city they serve the best Indian food in the town. Visited the restaurant several times and had few take aways. Always their flavours stay the same. Recommend booking a table by website if you are planning to dine in. They are mostly busy either with the parties or take away orders even if the tables are free. As a vegetarian I always wanted to try something different from the usual starters. Their soya chop sizzler gave me that fulfilment both for its uniqueness and taste. Sizzler plate lasts the heat and crunch until the last bite. All other items we usually try are Malai kofta, Dhal Makhni, Kadai paneer and Mushroom spinach gravy. All of their gravies are packed with beautiful blend of flavours and they hit the correct amount of spice level you ask for. As we had gone on my bday, the team surprised me with a brownie cake and a candle lit on top to make my birthday dinner special, which was on them. It was busy night, your staff were stretched out with customers over booking. Still the team went an extra mile to create that lasting pleasant memory for us. Thank you Tassie Dhaba team for your amazing service and personal touch to your customers....
ย ย ย Read moreWe had a very bad experience during recently visited Tassie Dhaba with my family and was extremely disappointed with the customer service. I called at 7:59 PM to book a table for five, and the lady who answered (apparently the owner) informed me they donโt take any orders after 8:15 PM. I mentioned we would arrive in 10 minutes, but she declined to take the booking with no greeting or courtesy.
Their Google listing states they are open until 9 PM, but we were told the kitchen closes at 8:15 PM. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, she then said they take last orders until 8:30 PM,completely contradicting the earlier information.
We asked for a table for five, but were assigned a table with only four chairs. When we tried to sit at a more appropriate table, she immediately told us donโt sit there.
Menus were handed to us in a dismissive manner, and we were rushed to place our order.
When we politely questioned her about the poor customer service, her response was, โWe canโt make everyone happy.โ This kind of attitude from the owner was really disappointing.
We came to enjoy a family meal, not for a free service.
I do not recommend this place to anyone. we...
ย ย ย Read moreWe recently visited Tassie Dhaba in Launceston for dinner, and honestly, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the place had a welcoming vibe, and the aroma from the kitchen was incredible. We ordered butter chicken, goat curry, garlic naan, and some vegetarian dishes to share. Every single item was packed with flavour and tasted freshly made.
The butter chicken had that creamy richness without being overly sweet, which is something I often find lacking elsewhere. The goat curry was perfectly spiced, tender, and cooked in home-style Indian The garlic naan was soft and fresh from the tandoor. They had great variety of vegetarian options โ from Dal masala to dal makhni and raita, all balanced and delicious.
The service was fast, friendly, and the staff checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was going well. This is now our go-to Indian restaurant in Launceston. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian food with genuine...
