Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Margaret River

Unfortunately I had to give 1 star rating which should really be 0 star rating. The minute we walked into the restaurant the lady and the young fella wernt professional at all. When we ordered our food, they didn't even tell us to take a seat or where to seat, we had to go up there multiple times to ask for cutlery, plates, they hadn't even bought us water or cups. We felt very unacknowledged and the service was very poor and we got treated poorly. We ordered the fried rice , vegetable bean sauce and seafood curry. The fried rice was absolutely tastless and had no flavour to it .The vegetables were frozen and it tasted as if they had just reheated previous food from earlier that day. The seafood curry was absolutely horrifying , the sauce was runny like water and the squid was some chewy frozen cheap quality and to be completely honest it tasted off. I won't even bother starting to describe the vegetable bean sauce dish as I'm sure you get the picture. Not only this was very over priced , the staff were in there own world. Flirting amongst eachother, giggling, haha this haha that not a care in the world for the customers or any decent hospitality in ANYWAY shape or form .. we had already paid for our dinner, which was a complete rip off considering the food we got, we had asked for Chili to add some flavour to the bland tastless dish and they had the audacity to charge us an extra $4.00 for some extra chilli. Terrible to have to review like this, we felt it necessary as most other reviewers said same & the owners obviously are not listening. We have a 1 only because there is no where to put a zero. Worst Chinese food I can remember. We wished we had of looked at reviews before going in for takeaway. Agree with all other low reviews. We couldn’t even manage a bowl of the food. Special fried rice bland no flavour. The beef in black bean had the strangest taste & watery, possibly due to the pack of frozen peas, carrots & even corn in with the chewy beef. Who puts frozen corn in a beef & black bean. Not Chinese food or a take on it with packaged ingredients. Read other reviews. Yuk. What a waste of money. STAY AWAY. Not only was this the worst Chinese food we’d ever seen it made my husband so sick. We ordered the combination duck and a laksa. I only wanted a soup but the ‘laksa’ was some sort of watery curry which was so unappetising I just didn’t eat it and just had a few mouthfuls of rice, the only dish which was edible. My husband however pushed on in view of the $40 price tag and ate the duck, something he regretted for the next two days. Whoever is in this kitchen needs to be retrained or replaced immediately. I’m sorry to review this way but it’s a case of buyer beware.
