We had some Bistro Morgan catering and I had two the colourful pretty one with rainbow sprinkles, Oreo bits and white chocolate on top and the glazed with Oreo crumb. Both were filled which isn’t my preference on a donut but nevertheless a sweet sensation Original review Today I had my first Bistro Morgan donut. I’ve been a visual admirer of Morgan’s donuts for years but for some reason or another being diets or fullness I’d never actually sampled until today. The first one, peanut butter and the chocolate factory, I have to say was quite a delight. There PB to donut ratio was possibly slightly too high but I enjoyed the flavour immensely. The red velvet glamour diaries, whilst it appeared quite striking and was visually impressive with the syringe it was rather bland and had me wishing I’d chosen the gaytime crunch. At $5.50 these are like priced with donuts of similar calibre in the market but unlike many others you may find these are hand made and hand dipped (and by a minor no less, hats off to him). It might have been my flavour selection but for all their hype they didn’t blow my mind

Came here because my friend had donut cravings and we wanted to have a nice catch up. The girl that said hi looked thoroughly unimpressed and unhappy to be there. I didn’t even have a chance to have a good look before she asked abruptly - ā€˜What do you want?’ Have here or takeaway? Zero smiles, zero personality and zero recommendations. She was just as dry to other customers who walked in, perhaps a store front customer role isn’t meant for her. I didn’t end up getting anything because I just find anything that stood out to me and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. My friend was having a donut and the girl proceeded to mop the floor in front of us. Extra packaging and caramel tubs left at the front entrance. Feedback from my friend was the donut was okay. Won’t be back for an okay donut.

My sister told me about Bistro Morgan while we were on our flight to Melbourne a few weeks ago. After looking them up I knew we had to make time to go and visit them. They have a lovely store with seating inside and out on the street. I believe they have other things for sale but as soon as you go in you can’t but help to go straight for the amazing looking doughnuts. We purchased a four pack as we were leaving the next day. I could have easily bought more. Our selection was the Gaytime, Toblerone, Creme BrĆ»lĆ©e and a special edition White Chocolate Kinder Bueno Cheesecake. All were so good, really good, I keep thinking of them in my dreams. Great to see that the Bueno Cheesecake is now on the permanent menu. Change all your plans and go today.

I rarely leave reviews but felt like I had to share. I live close by to Bistro Morgan and have given this place MANY chances. The first time I came I was served rather reluctantly at the coffee window given the shop was empty and it was early in the morning... but the coffee was good so I returned. After this first experience every single time I have been back the staff have basically ignored me. They are either on the phone (often), wandering around or have their back to you... I ordered coffee a couple more times (because I quite enjoyed the coffee, i'm not going to lie) but every time I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. The staff that I have dealt with are rude even when the owner is clearly in the store too! Today I thought, I'll give them one more go, you know benefit of the doubt... There were 5 staff in the store - no customers, but they all looked busy preparing donuts. Three of the staff actually looked up at me and then went back to what they were doing without even acknowledging me, not even a smile! I won't be back, I'd rather purchase elsewhere. I'm sure your donuts are amazing Morgan so maybe just stick to selling them if you aren't going to train your staff to value the customers who buy the other items available on your menu. Customer service = top priority in hospo... you guys need to step it up in this area....

Staff need to really work on basic customer service. Sharing as this happened twice. First time I stood in the shop for minutes without being acknowledged whatsoever, despite it being empty while 3 staff were chatting away. One even looked up and noticed me but continued to chat amongst themselves. I said forget it and walked out. Thought I’d give them another chance but the same thing happened again just recently- customer service was non existent. to be fair it was busy and the young man was taking orders and making coffees on his own but he seemed so reluctant to serve the people who were all waiting patiently. He didn’t bother to look up or acknowledge any customers approaching the shop to queue. Made me feel so unwelcome and put me off straight away. People are generally happy to wait, it just makes a massive difference to look up for a second to say hello and acknowledge them. Shame because their products...
