I rarely leave reviews but felt like I had to share. I live close by to Bistro Morgan and have given this place MANY chances. The first time I came I was served rather reluctantly at the coffee window given the shop was empty and it was early in the morning... but the coffee was good so I returned. After this first experience every single time I have been back the staff have basically ignored me. They are either on the phone (often), wandering around or have their back to you... I ordered coffee a couple more times (because I quite enjoyed the coffee, i'm not going to lie) but every time I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. The staff that I have dealt with are rude even when the owner is clearly in the store too! Today I thought, I'll give them one more go, you know benefit of the doubt... There were 5 staff in the store - no customers, but they all looked busy preparing donuts. Three of the staff actually looked up at me and then went back to what they were doing without even acknowledging me, not even a smile! I won't be back, I'd rather purchase elsewhere. I'm sure your donuts are amazing Morgan so maybe just stick to selling them if you aren't going to train your staff to value the customers who buy the other items available on your menu. Customer service = top priority in hospo... you guys need to step it up in this area....

Original review Today I had my first Bistro Morgan donut. Iāve been a visual admirer of Morganās donuts for years but for some reason or another being diets or fullness Iād never actually sampled until today. The first one, peanut butter and the chocolate factory, I have to say was quite a delight. There PB to donut ratio was possibly slightly too high but I enjoyed the flavour immensely.
The red velvet glamour diaries, whilst it appeared quite striking and was visually impressive with the syringe it was rather bland and had me wishing Iād chosen the gaytime crunch. At $5.50 these are like priced with donuts of similar calibre in the market but unlike many others you may find these are hand made and hand dipped (and by a minor no less, hats off to him). It might have been my flavour selection but for all their hype they didnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStaff need to really work on basic customer service. Sharing as this happened twice. First time I stood in the shop for minutes without being acknowledged whatsoever, despite it being empty while 3 staff were chatting away. One even looked up and noticed me but continued to chat amongst themselves. I said forget it and walked out. Thought Iād give them another chance but the same thing happened again just recently- customer service was non existent. to be fair it was busy and the young man was taking orders and making coffees on his own but he seemed so reluctant to serve the people who were all waiting patiently. He didnāt bother to look up or acknowledge any customers approaching the shop to queue. Made me feel so unwelcome and put me off straight away. People are generally happy to wait, it just makes a massive difference to look up for a second to say hello and acknowledge them. Shame because their products...
