Don't know where to begin... and really sad I have to write this review. First opportunity to eat at a cafe after restrictions were eased in Melbourne. Chose to eat here because of the variety on the menu. In the end decided to have chicken Parma, chips and salad.a no brainer one would think especially here in Melbourne. Salad and chips were fresh. Chicken Parma was the worst ever. Cold, soggy outside crumbs literally falling away from chicken, cold through, cheese slightly melted and just could not eat it was not hot tasted like it had been defrosted and resting out of the fridge. Told the staff they apologised and offered to redo, but by this stage I couldn't trust it would be done properly- to be politeI said I would take it away and cook it myself, which I ended up binning. Was charged full price for something that was not cooked or eatible with an apology. Did not meet Melbourne food standards we are used to or maybe after so long in lockdown I expected great things. Furthermore annoyed the pub down the road had chicken Parma chips salad and a beer for $13 and I was charged $22.84 when it was $18 on the menu. Perhaps I was charged extra for the salad as the person struggle to understand the order. My friend who I dined with enjoyed their chicken burger and chips and their meal seemed hot, though they refused to try my meal as they could see visually it was not cooked. So, check what your order, check your bill and if unhappy let them know as I'm sure they'd happy remedy the problem. Hopefully this was just a one off occurrence and I was the I...

Went as a group of 4, food was good, maybe slightly too much hollandaise sauce on my Benny - but more is better than less. Coffee was alright, but we were given a dirty spoon for a coffee, they replaced but didn’t apologise or say anything. I’m new to coffee, so asked for a flat white in a glass (nice job me) and got a chuckle from the waitress - I liked the coffee, so that’s fair. The two soy lattes were eh, separated and not fantastic, described as ‘without love’ and ‘like takeaway’ coffee by my partner and friend (both baristas themselves?) However! 4 breakfasts ($19ea), 4 drinks (4.50, 5, 5, 6) is $96.50. When we split the bill in 2, we were charged $49.50 each ($99) - even if they applied the 1% surcharge of credit, that doesn’t add up to $99? On the way out, we bumped into the waitress who I spoke to about coffee previously, where I mixed up glass/cup for flat white - to which she responded “yeah, don’t do it again.” Bit harsh, her tone definitely wasn’t a joking tone - not too happy about that ‘elite’ level barista insults 🤷♂️
Overall, loved the food, but watch the costs and do your own maths! If you are specific with your coffee, I don’t recommend. I’m sure you’d get the same food & better service at a different store in the lane - possibly why this place had...

Monday 27th Dec- came here on a friends recc at 1pm and they were missing the stuff we wanted on the menu. No worries except the waitress didn’t know anything on the menu to substitute so it was a struggle just to order the food. She confirmed the order with us, we say yep, she goes away, our coffees come out, we drink them all until the first meal comes out and the waitress says she’ll come back with cutlery. Yeah no- we had to go up and remind her for the cutlery and my meal got half cold by the time i could get an effing fork. The cream on the pancakes was not even whipped I- whatever.
I have to feed my friends like pigeons from my plate while they waiting and i almost finish my entire meal until the next meal comes out, toasted banana bread, waitress just drops it down without saying a word. The third meal, a toasted ham cheese croissant 🥐, has yet to arrive. My friend eats her banana bread and then goes up A Second Time to ask them for the croissant. The waitress comes up to our table and says they’re out of croissants, so that whole time they weren’t even making it… or going to tell us they were out.
Then 5 mins later comes out… the pictured monstrosity.
Two stars for the location, otherwise get food next door down....
