went here tonight after eyeballing for however long 👀 we were greeted by the loveliest waitress at the door! what food did we order? agedashi tofu, which had a lot of flavour and the tofu was cooked perfectly. wagyu beef hamburg steak, which was also really yummy 😋 and the waitress explained how to cook in great detail and the energy she bought along with it made it a fun experience. HOWEVER! it came with rice and kimchi, and the top layer of rice was a bit hardened? so i think it was sitting there for awhile. dohtonbori special okonomiyaki, which the waitress also explained well and bought a great vibe to. it tastes great and was fun to cook! HOWEVER! the chicken i also think had been pre-prepared, as well as the curry sauce, as it looked gelatinous when it was poured over the okonomiyaki. but it didn’t affect the taste. udon - i forgot what it’s called but we dipped it into the broth. it had a really light flavour and was great :) everything tasted great, but due to my suspicions re. rice, chicken and curry sauce, i can’t rate the food a 5 star. but the service was outstanding! we went at a low point so there weren’t many customers, i think this place would be a great place to go when it’s popping off. we also saw our waitress multitasking a lot of duties around the restaurant, and she still always made time to tend to customers and check on us and our food. she was awesome :) i’d love to...
Read moreA good place for you if you are looking for: -good, tasty food; -friendly and helpful staff; -fun experience in learning to cook something new
Some downsides I hope they can improve on: -the tablet and instruction sheets were not clean (felt a bit sticky probably because of the oil); -need exhaust pipe as we are cooking food with oil in-house; -small portions for the price; about $60 worth of food for 3 people but we were still hungry when we left, especially when you compare with other nearby restaurants and the fact that we cook the food ourselves (less labor cost for the restaurant). I guess you are paying for the experience here rather than the food itself. -staff should show us how to adjust the heat as the cooking surface was way overheating (especially the case when the staff already put on the oil and we were reading instructions so the oil was smoking a bit) -staff should also help clean/ show us how to clean the cooking surface as the burnt food just stuck there when we tried to cook more. I was afraid of scratching it since it is made of Teflon and we were using metal cooking utensils -also felt a bit weird that someone was doing admin work on a big, bright monitor facing the customers, kinda not fitted into the restaurant environment you are aiming to create
*Nevertheless, give it a try and I hope you can enjoy the food and the...
Read moreExtremely dissatisfied with the overall hygiene conditions, specifically the presence of rodents and the discovery of a brainless LIZARD that had been partially consumed.
MOUSE running freely and playing around under the table, even coming into contact with the customer's feet. it’s utterly unacceptable for a restaurant, as rodents are potential carriers of diseases and pose a significant health risk to people. this hygiene condition to be shocking and repulsive.
there is also a headless LIZARD that had been partially consumed. This not only disgusts but also raises serious concerns about food safety. This circumstance indicates significant issues with the sourcing and storage of ingredients, resulting in an unsanitary environment and substandard food quality.
On top of that, the food (sashimi) was not very fresh( definitely placed without a fridge for a while. ) The food overpriced and the quantity was small. tatami matt is sticky and oil.
PS: it’s already on the Asian news platform. XHS and Yeeyi breaking news headline.
