The worst Hungry Jack’s I’ve ever been to — South Yarra location is a complete disaster. My experience here was absolutely shocking and frustrating from the moment I walked in. The staff are insanely rude, careless, and completely untrained. It’s obvious that management is cutting corners by underpaying workers and putting beginner staff on during night and morning shifts, when it’s actually the busiest.

I went in for a simple coffee, and the barista behind the counter had no idea what they were doing. They didn’t even know the difference between a cappuccino and a mocha — that’s how bad it was. And to top it off, they handed me a cold, old coffee that tasted like it had been sitting there forever. I brought it back and they didn’t even apologise or acknowledge the mistake — just gave attitude like I was being unreasonable.

This place is filthy, poorly managed, and full of staff who clearly don’t want to be there. They ignore mobile app orders and force you to pay full price unless you push back. I caught them doing this and when I questioned it, they acted smart and defensive instead of fixing the issue.

What’s worse — when I asked to speak to a manager about the repeated issues, no one showed up for several minutes. The so-called "manager" finally came out and, instead of resolving the situation, offered me a free coffee to hush things up. I told her clearly: stop cheating people and just enable the app offers like you’re supposed to.

It’s honestly ridiculous that a brand like Hungry Jack’s allows a location like this to operate. They’re taking advantage of both their staff and customers, and they are not sorry about it.

Great new young Aussie manager it is now having staff more relaxed and less stressed without the manager yelling and ordering everyone around and the team know what they are doing but if you want your food extra hot be sure to say fresh but now I at least can enjoy eating there I used to feel a bit uncomfortable the way some not so assimilated new Aussie managers were the friendly warm hearted relatable manager is alot more on everyone's level because whenever I am around stressful people or environments I usually choke in my food but this new manager I remember used to be just a crew member there I don't choke on my food anymore now he was a great choice for promotion in fact with the improvement I'd promote him again coz he deserves it but the atmosphere is so much better so me rarely getting to go to nice environments I'd probably want to be greedy and keep him where he is just so I can always have the better atmosphere there he's such a nice fellow not cut dry and on everyone's backs as the other two managers of tanned skin were and I'm not longer in a rush to get the hell out of there and the tables were actually cleaned which I didn't ever get before MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT wherever he goes I'd want to go there too whichever restaurant he is at but I have no way to find out I don't know him but I just observed the different atmospheres from when he was there to wasn't a very magnetic and chilled cheerful fellow who keeps things in good simple order I can tell for sure as good as gold 🥇 way better...
