I’ve got to recommend Familee if you’re ever after some comforting authentic Korean food, including the best kimbap, tteokbokki and fried chicken! We felt so relaxed- almost feels like a warm hug with all the flavourful and homey dishes we devoured, plus we were greeted with the most welcoming and loveliest service. We tried the-

▪️Corn cheese kimchi kimbap -$16 ▪️Cooked tuna and fish kimbap -$16 ▪️Cooked prawn shiitake kimbap -$16 ▪️Rose tteokbokki $17 with cheese, glass noodles, squid, seaweed (extra $4-6 per item) ▪️Mozzarella corn dog $9 ▪️Sausage and cheese corn dog $9 ▪️Kimchi pancake $18 ▪️Pork Belly $23 ▪️Honey Butter and Creamy Onion Fried Chicken $43 ▪️Strawberry Blonde Soju Cocktail $15 ▪️Lavender Blueberry Soju Cocktail $15

Honestly we absolutely loved everything- there’s not a single aspect we didn’t enjoy. All the food was tasty, flavourful and everything Korean street food should be. The cocktails were all delicious, the staff were sooo friendly and service was quick and efficient. We came early Tuesday evening and they were packed with customers the entire duration!

The tteokbokki here is the ultimate comfort food and had such great flavours, the perfect amount of spice that was enjoyable and warming. All the toppings was already well seasoned (not too salty which I love!) so crispy and delicious by themselves but when dipped in that tteokbokki- match made in heaven! 🤩 The corn dogs were sooo good- chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside, cheesy and sweet from that sugary outer coating.

The kimchi pancake definitely also had the wow factor, warm, crispy and flavourful and so did that pork belly which had the perfect amount of fat and juiciness to it. The fried chicken was sooo juicy and tender and they had sooo many different flavours to choose from! The highlight was the range of kimbap fillings available because it’s rare to see such a delightful variety in Melbourne. The tuna is your can’t-go-wrong classic but that prawn and corn cheese kimbap one!? ABSOLUTELY loved especially dipped in the tteokbokki!!

Shoutout to Lemy for the best service and...

Super delicious and affordable Korean street food in Melbourne! 🇰🇷

Fami-LEE is a newly opened hidden gem in the CBD serving up an incredible Korean street food feast! 🔥 Portions are huge, prices are affordable, and customer service is fantastic - there’s no wonder why this place is becoming so popular 😍

Their menu features an extensive range of Korean street food from Kim-bab, Tteokbokki, Fried Chicken and snacks! 🤤

Featured: 🧀 Cheese Balls ($14) Made in-house, these cheese balls are super crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and filled with so much stretchy cheese! They’re topped with a sweet cheesy powder which makes them even more addictive 🤤

🌶️ Kimchi Pancake ($18) This pancake is seriously large (and very filling)! Their version is thick in the middle, with the edges nice and crispy 🙌

🍣 Kim-bab - Corn Cheese Kimchi & Pork Donkatsu ($15ea) You MUST try the kim-bab here! An iconic Korean street snack, they are super delicious on their own and even better paired with the wasabi mustard dipping sauce 👏

🔥 Rose Tteokbokki ($25 + toppings) The portion size is HUGE and can definitely feed a group of 3-4 easily! You can add any toppings you want, like mozzarella cheese, ramyeon, and deep fried snacks (topping add-ons are also very generous too!)

🍗 Korean Fried Chicken - Honey Butter Garlic & Creamy Onion ($43) The chicken is perfectly crispy and juicy, and again portions are huge! Love the unique sauce options here - the Honey Butter Garlic is super sweet and dangerously addictive, and the Creamy Onion sauce is so delicious 🤤

🍲 Fishcake Soup ($24) Super warm and comforting, and perfect for colder nights! The broth is light and clear making it easy to slurp down, and it’s served with a generous portion of fishcake skewers 🍢

🍹 Soju Cocktails ($15/glass) They have 5 unique cocktails to choose from, each with a different fruity flavour profile 🍓 You can order by the glass...

How can you resist this Korean feast?! @familee_au is where you can find only affordable, quality and authentic Korean delicacies in Melbourne. They offer the true flavours from Korea, and if you’re from Korea, be prepared to go on a nostalgic trip back to memory lanes in Korea with their food and drinks.

We obviously tried their signature kimbap of beef bulgogi, absolutely phenomenal, so filling and great taste. Must try.

The cream sauce based tteokbokki is something really piqued our interest to try it the moment we saw in their menu. And it absolutely managed to live upto our expectations of being so rich, creamy, cheesy and decadent. Hard to resist honestly, you can customise the toppings like we opted for egg, chewy noodles, fish cakes and cheese. Highly recommend

The kimchi pancake has my heart, loved the addition of a tangy and sweet taste to every bite of it. So tasty.

Cheese balls were fresh and very extra, perfect for cheese lovers. Also the japchae was so light, yet flavourful. Makes it perfect when you’re not too hungry.

What to say about their Korean fried chicken, it was next level divine, so perfect, crisp and juicy at the same time. Me and my friend loved the mala spicy and honey butter garlic, sweet flavours respectively. Snow chicken was just awesome and so delicious. Highly recommend.

Also the quality of the food here is exceptional and you get a great value meal here. The service is unbelievably very quick, and attentive, despite being a medium size Korean restaurant. It’s packed on weekends, so make a booking before coming here.

So why not visit this week after work or uni with your friends/ loved ones @familee_au for a mouthwatering and delectable...
