Likya Turkish Eatery — Restaurant in Melbourne

Wow, I can't believe I hadn't been here before, the mixed kebab was PERFECT. Extremely legit Turkish place with high-quality lamb, definitely getting the shish and meatballs next time. The fresh tabouleh was the best I've had in Victoria. This was the best kebab I've had in the inner North and far superior to the late-night places on Brunswick Street. (EDIT: Likya themselves are on Rathdowne Street - but my previous go-to kebabs were on Brunswick or Lygon. Now it's Likya!)

The owner Tufan introduced himself, super friendly and is an excellent chef - something you don't normally get at a kebab shop.

But this is much more than a kebab shop, the platters looked incredible, fantastic prices for a 2-8 person meal if you like a place that feels like you're at a friend's house. I'll be back as soon as possible because I want to...

Hadnt been here in 1-2 years but my last experience before tonight was honestly great and was in the area so decided to try it out again. Started off kinda weird as they looked suprised to have customers walk in, bloke who was taking my order didnt even know what was on the menu lol Paid $58 for a mixed grill for two, friend of mine also ordered some food. Both of our orders were wrong, I didnt receive chips and my friend didnt get his dips, on top of all of that the owner came running out to fix the order as he realised some items were missing and they somehow still got it all wrong. Got home and after a few bites realised the kofte wasnt even cooked properly and now they’re closed so I cant even go back to get a refund or replacement. Shortly after arrival from Adana, Turkey we craved for Turkish food in Melbourne. After quick search in the area, we came across Likya. We gave a call and asked few things about menu.
