During my recent visit to Rolld at Melbourne airport, I had a disappointing encounter with the manager. As a regular customer who always orders a mixed beef and chicken pho cup 1-2 times a week in Sydney, I naturally ordered the same at this establishment. However, I noticed a deviation from the usual procedure when the manager didn't repeat my order, provide a receipt, or inquire about my preference for chili.
I checked the transaction on my phone and was surprised to see the kitchen preparing a bowl instead of a cup. Politely, I approached the manager and explained the situation, mentioning that I had indeed ordered a cup. To my dismay, instead of resolving the matter with empathy, the manager audaciously argued, insisting that I had ordered a bowl. This interaction left me feeling frustrated, as I know precisely what I had requested.
Given the long lines and the fact that the pho was already prepared, I decided not to make a fuss about the refund difference and accepted the bowl. Unfortunately, my disappointment didn't end there. The pho lacked flavor, and the portion of meat provided was equivalent to what one would typically receive in a cup-sized serving. To make matters worse, there was no lemon provided, and the manager failed to offer an apology for the mix-up.
As a customer, I felt taken advantage of and left with a bitter taste in my mouth regarding the overall customer...

29 September, agree it’s a public holiday and a surcharge applies. Their salesperson and computer system tried to charge me $19 something for $14 bill. The surcharge priced on their software was correct according to the sales person. Decided to walk away.
While lining up at Subway next door, the store person later came back to me saying the system has been updated by a technician and he would be happy to take my order.
Thought ok and ordered food, again agree prices are up for almost every food item, but the rolls I got had a tiny sprinkling of beef and chicken.
This time the bill was correct.
Run, or you will be Roll’d (ripped off too).
And before I hear from Rolld, asking me to email details and photos- No I am not going to. These reviews from independent travelers are self explanatory for a review of this store at the airport T4 terminal.
Wish I had seen these before I...
Read moreOne of the worst Bahn Mi's I've ever had.
I order a pork and crackling roll and Even though I asked for everything on it and made sure to be enthusiastic about including chilli and sauce I was incredibly disappointed.
Barely any flavour, no spice at all and a woeful amount of Pâte. There seemed to be only one stick of cucumber and the coriander was missing. Although still warm, The bread too was lacking with no crunch. Crunch can make or break this experience.
Every bite of this pitiful roll was more disappointing than the last as it became increasingly clear that there were not enough ingredients to cover the surface area of the bread. By the last 2 bites all I was eating was just bread. Soft, warm Bread. All of this for a price of $10.50
The only saving grace was that the carrots were fresh.
Also, this will be posted to the Bahn Mi Appreciation Society which boasts almost...
